Smoke Reset for 4-wire smokes
Pulling Less than 100mA = Page 1-2
Pulling over 100mA = Page 3-4
On Vista 15P(rev 2+), 20P(rev 2+), 20PS, 10P,
FA130CP, FA168CPS, FA148CP (Rev 2+), and FA130CP
NOTE: TRIGGER 17 CAN POWER SMOKES UP TO 100mA.
If smoke detector current is over 100mA, you will need an additional relay for reset (page 3 and 4); or
use 2-wire smokes detectors.
Programming:
*56: Program zone 6 (or any zone that cannot be used for 2-wire smokes) as Zone Type 09 (FIRE) or
16 (Fire W/Verification).
*79: Program trigger 17 as Normally Low:
Programming the trigger in this manner will give a constant ground.
1. After pressing *79, screen displays:

0 = No 1=Yes 1
3. Enter 1 for Yes then press [*], screen displays:

8. Press [*], the screen will return to the first prompt Enter 00 to exit.
Action:
Trigger 17 will provide a constant ground output to power smokes up to 100mA.
When the appropriate zone sees a short (alarm), the panel will go into alarm on that zone.
The first “off” sequence will silence the panel.
If a short still exists on a fire zone (except zone 1), the second “off” sequence will cause the panel to
turn off trigger 17 for 2 seconds for smoke detector reset.

Using a Slave Relay with Trigger
NOTE: TRIGGER 17 CAN SUPPORT 100mA.
Programming:
*56: Program zone 6 (or any zone that cannot be used for 2-wire smokes) as Zone Type 09 (FIRE) or
16 (Fire W/Verification).
*79: Program trigger 17 as Normally High:
Programming the trigger in this manner will pull to ground for reset.
1. After pressing *79, screen displays:
