IMPORTANT
Do not use the device indoors. The device will constantly give target
signals inside places like homes where there are many metals present.
Use the device outdoors, in open fields.
IMPORTANT
WARNINGS
Do not carry any metal objects while using the device. Keep the device
away from your shoes while walking. The device may detect the metals
on you or inside your shoes as targets.
Do not let another detector or an electromagnetic device come in close
proximity (10m (33ft.)) to the device.
For Consumers within the European Union: Do not dispose of
this equipment in general household waste. The crossed
wheeled bin symbol on this equipment indicates this unit
should not be disposed of in general household waste, but
recycled in compliance with local government regulations
and environmental requirements.
FCC STATEMENT
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

ASSEMBLY
1
Place the washers into the openings on both sides at
the end of the extension shaft.
Parts and accessories
3
Then, tighten it using the wingnut.
5
NOKTA ENGINEERING
After placing the shaft on the coil as seen in the picture,
insert the fastening screw through the hole.
4
To connect the system box shaft, first loosen the twist
lock on the extension shaft.
2
5
After inserting the shaft, fix it by re-tightening the twist
lock.
ASSEMBLY
6
After adjusting the height of the device using the twist
lock on the extension shaft, wrap the cable around the
shaft.
8
Remove the battery compartment cover at the back of
the system box.
7
Plug the connector at the end of the cable into the coil
input socket at the bottom of the system box.
9
Insert the batteries paying attention to the plus (+) and
minus (-) poles.
6
CORRECT WAY OF HOLDING
7
Shaft height is wrong.
Shaft height is correct.
It is very important to adjust the shaft to your height correctly to
be able to search without discomfort and fatigue.
Adjust the height of the shaft so that you are standing in an
upright position, your arm is relaxed and the search coil is
approximately 5cm (~2'') above the ground.

CORRECT WAY OF SWEEPING
Wrong search coil angle.
Wrong search coil angle.
Correct search coil angle.
Incorrect way of sweeping.
Correct way of sweeping.
It is important to keep the search coil parallel to
the ground in order to get accurate results.
The search coil must be parallel to the ground at all
times.

PRINCIPLES OF SEARCHING
It is important to pay attention to the following points before and during search in terms of device performance and
getting accurate results:
1- The device operates on the principle of motion. This means that you must move the search coil over the target or the
target over the search coil, in order for the device to see it. In other words, metal detection is not possible without
moving the search coil.
2- Based on the same principle, do not hold your search coil still over a detected target. If the coil is held still over the
target, the device cancels out the process and does not see the target anymore. When you start moving the coil again,
the device will resume detection.
3- 3- For correct metal detection, the way you hold the shaft and sweep the search coil and keeping the coil parallel to
the ground are very important factors. Before starting to search, please refer to the related sections in the manual.

SEARCHING AND METAL DETECTING
Turning On The Device
Raise the search coil 30-40cm (~12''-15'') above the ground and turn on the device using the ON / OFF - VOLUME
button. This button is also used to increase / decrease the volume.
The Metal Indicator will blink a couple of times. Once you hear the system ready tone, you may start searching by
lowering the search coil to 5cm (~2'') above the ground.
Metal Detection
When a metal is detected, the device will produce an audio warning and the LEDs on the Metal Indicator will light up
simultaneously. LEDs will start lighting up as the search coil starts going over the target and they will go off as you
move the coil off the target. The number of LEDs lit is in proportion to the strength of the signal received from the
metal. In other words, the stronger the signal is, the more LEDs will light up. The signal strength is determined by the
size and depth of the metal underground. For example, a weak signal lighting a single LED may belong to a shallow,
small metal or a deeper, bigger one.
Pinpointing
For pinpointing the exact location of the target, move the search coil over the target with short and fast sweeps.
Determine the spot where the maximum number of LEDs light up on the Metal Indicator.

SEARCHING AND METAL DETECTING
Ground Noise, Interference and Sensitivity Setting
While searching, the device may produce false signals caused by electrical interference from the surrounding
environment or ground noise. These signals are not stable and they differ from target signals. To determine whether
the signal is a noise or a target signal, sweep the coil over the spot where the signal is received a few times in
different directions and check whether you receive a signal each time. If you are not getting a signal each time and
the signal is not constant, most probably it is a noise signal.
In this case, lower the Sensitivity by turning the button a little to the left. Sensitivity is also the depth setting for the
device. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not lower it too much but to determine the level where you are not
getting any noise or interference and continue searching.
Battery Life Indicator
The batteries supplied with your device will provide approximately 3-4 hours of use. To see the battery life status,
press the i button and check the battery life indicator. When the batteries are full, 3 LEDs will light up. When only a
single LED is lit, it means that the batteries are almost empty. When a single LED is lit, the device may continue to
work but it may start producing unusual LED and audio warnings . Therefore, it is recommended that you change
your batteries when they are low.
