 We recommend you use the measuring cap to put food in the soup maker whilst it is in operation. Never push food into the jug with your fingers, or any other cooking utensil.

Do not operate the appliance when it is empty.

Always use the appliance on a flat dry and level surface.

 If it’s necessary to remove the measuring cap, do so slowly and with caution when the appliance is mixing very hot liquids. Always keep your

Unpacking the appliance

Assembling and using the appliance

1. Prepare the ingredients according to your recipe and fill the jug to the indicated markings on the jug. Do not exceed maximum marks indicated.

Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks indicated on the jug. operating, allow time for the measuring jug to cool down as it is fitted with a temperature sensor. To do this, place

3. Place the lid on the mixing jug and rotate the lid clockwise so that it locks into position. The lid is securely in place when the lip of the lid aligns with the lip of the jug and both side fittings have clipped into place. The appliance will not start until the lid is correctly fitted.

6. Press the “ON/OFF” button. The appliance will beep and the “ON/OFF” button will begin to flash.

Please note: Do not exceed the maximum marks indicated on the jug.

4. Fit the measuring cap into the top of the jug.

5. Plug the appliances electrical cord into the electrical supply. Please ensure that the voltage of the electrical supply matches or exceeds that of the appliance.

Functions of the appliance

 The appliance operates using either the power control button or with the function buttons.

 A beep will signal the confirmation of the button selection.

SMOOTH - For making soup with a smooth texture.

Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.

7. Select the function of the appliance.

Refer to section “Functions of the appliance”.

The soup maker will automatically blend and heat the ingredients to the pre-set programme time of 25 minutes.

SPEED 1– Low speed

SPEED 2– Medium speed

The soup maker will automatically heat the ingredients to the pre-set programme time of 28 minutes without blending.

SPEED 3– High speed

Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.

TEMP– For cooking foods at different temperatures.

The blend programmes are automatically set at 3 minutes.

HIGH- For heating or keeping soups warm up to 100˚C, also used for cooking.

4 beeps will signal the appliance has completed its cycle.

MEDIUM- For heating or keeping soups warm up to 80˚C.

Note: Always ensure the measuring cup is attached to the lid and fitted correctly to the jug before blending.

LOW- For heating or keeping soups warm up to 60˚C.

 Press the “ON/OFF” button.

 Press “TEMP” button.

 Press the “TEMP” button again to scroll through the temperatures.

 The duration of the cooking programmes are pre-set at 25 / 28 minutes each. You can manually adjust the times during the process using the

“+/-” buttons between 1-90 minutes.

 You can also switch to another function during the process and the previous duration of the program will be kept.

 4 beeps will signal the appliance has finished operating.

DELAY– The DELAY button is used to start the function of the soup maker at a later time.

1. Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.

2. Press the “DELAY” button.

3. Set the time by pressing the “+/-” to increase the delay time. E.g. if you would like your soup to be ready in

4 hours time, press “+/-” to increase the time. The soup maker will begin in 3 hours 30 mins, therefore ready to serve in 4 hours time.

4. Press either of the function buttons

“TEMP”, “SMOOTH” OR “CHUNKY”.

5. Set the time by pressing the “+/-” button.

6. The soup maker will start

The delay function can be set up to 12 hours, this incorporates the cooking time of the soup maker.

ICE– Ideal for crushing Ice damp cloth and dry it immediately afterwards.

 If water does enter the base of the appliance, dry the base of the appliance thoroughly. If the appliance does not work please contact our customer service department.

Cleaning the appliance

 Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before beginning cleaning.

 Never immerse the appliance in water or liquid for any reason.

 Please be aware that the blades in the jug of the appliance are sharp.

 Do not use any materials or abrasive wire brushes on the appliance.

 The mixing jug is not dishwasher safe.

 Fill the mixing jug with water (approx.

1 litre) and add a few drops of washing liquid.

 Heat up the water in the jug for 8 minutes on a “HIGH” cooking setting.

 Press the blend button (after the 8 minute cooking time has ended) for a brief time.

 Allow the water inside the jug to cool.

 Rinse the jug with clean water and dry it off.

1. Clean the components in a rinsing bath.

Troubleshooting

Malfunction

The device does not function.

The lid is not securely fitted on the appliance.

Roasted Tomato and Garlic Soup

Preparation time: 30 mins

Thai Chicken and Sweet Potato Soup

300ml vegetable stock

Preparation: 15 minutes

3 tbsp. tomato puree

1 tsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 garlic cloves

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Score a cross in the top of the tomatoes then place the tomatoes onto a foil lined baking tray. Separate the cloves of garlic and peel. Scatter the garlic cloves between the tomatoes. Drizzle the tomatoes and garlic with 1 tbsp. of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Place in the oven and roast for 30 minutes until the tomatoes are dark and the skins are shriveled.

1/2 red chilli, deseeded and chopped

2cm cube of fresh ginger

1 tsp easy lemongrass

3 tbsp. red Thai curry paste

500ml chicken stock

Lentil and Paprika Soup

2 tbsp. olive oil

Preparation: 10 minutes

1 tsp ground coriander

1 small onion, diced

1 tsp cumin

2 peppers, diced

1/2 tsp turmeric

2 cloves of garlic, finely sliced

1 medium onion, cut into 8 chunks

1 tbsp. tomato puree

2 garlic cloves, chopped finely

2 tsp paprika

500g Parsnip

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tin of tomatoes

1/2 tin of tomatoes

350ml vegetable stock

50g red lentils

1 tbsp. lemon juice

200ml chicken stock

2 tbsp. chopped parsley

200ml balsamic vinegar

220g dark brown sugar

1 potato, peeled and chopped

175g ham, chunks plus extra for serving

2 fresh bay leaves

400g frozen peas

1 sprig of rosemary

500ml ham/chicken stock

1. Chop onions, shallots, red pepper, chilli and rosemary. Scrape into the soup maker jug.

To ensure the chutney is at the required consistency, run a spoon across the surface of the chutney, if the spoon leaves a channel for a few seconds, the chutney is ready.

5. Allow the chutney to cool slightly. Pour into sterilised jars, with plastic lids and cool completely. Store in a cool dark place. Once opened, keep in the refrigerator and consume within 4 weeks.

4 red peppers, chopped

6 chocolate cookies with cream centers

7 red chillies, chopped

200ml milk

3cm fresh root ginger, peeled and chopped

2 scoops chocolate ice cream

Coloured chocolate beans, to decorate

300g canned cherry tomatoes, without juice

Chocolate sauce

550g sugar

Method

200ml red wine vinegar

1. Place milk and 4 chocolate cookies into the jug. Press “SPEED 1” until smooth.

Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condition as possible.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are shipped outside of the EU.

Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within

30 days of receipt.

The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build

If your product develops a problem within the first 12 months of the fixed warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. After 12 months the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

WARNING! This product must be connected to an earthed electrical power supply. The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the

Earth terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connection.

Precautions should be followed for safe cable management and connection to the power supply.

If a new mains plug needs to be fitted follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician or appliance repair agent.

 Connect the brown lead to the live terminal “L” in the new plug.
