Branson offers new
‘chore tractor’
B
ranson’s new 2800
subcompact tractor adds
a new choice to a crowded
“chore tractor” market with a
full range of features.
The 2800 breathes through
a turbocharger and produces
28 horsepower from a threecylinder Tier 3 diesel engine.
Power to the four-wheel-drive
chassis comes through a
manual 6x2 transmission, and
hydraulic power steering makes
maneuvering less work. The
tractor features a mid-mount
2,500 rpm PTO, and a rear PTO
with 540 and 960 rpm choices.
It’s rated for a Category I
three-point hitch and can handle
1,500 pounds with that lift.
Fuel consumption is rated at 1.6
gallons per hour and the fuel
tank holds 6.2 gallons. Easy-toreach controls are matched to a
simplified display panel.
