UPS MAINTENANCE MODE SETUP PROCEDURE
3 BREAKER MAINTENANCE BYPASS PANEL (MBP)
With Electronic Interlock (E)
A. TRANSFER OF LOAD FROM INVERTER TO MAINTENANCE BYPASS

On the MBP, confirm SMB is locked open and 52L/BIN are closed.
On the UPS System, transfer the critical load to static bypass (refer to the
UPS Owner’s Manual).
3. On the UPS, confirm with the flow diagram on the LCD that the load is fed
via the UPS’ static bypass line. DO NOT PROCEED IF THE LOAD IS NOT
FED VIA THE STATIC BYPASS. (For assistance, contact technical support
at 1-800-887-7830)
4. After confirming step 3, on the MBP, press and hold the SKRU push button
and remove the key from the SKRU.
5. On the MBP, insert the key into SMB and rotate the key (retracting the barrel
and unlocking the breaker).
6. On the MBP, close SMB.
7. On the MBP, open 52L. The load is now isolated from the UPS.
8. On the MBP, rotate the key in the 52L key interlock (extending the barrel to
lock 52L open).
9. On the MBP, remove the key from 52L and insert the key into the SKRU. Turn
the key in the SKRU to lock the key.
10. Transfer to bypass is now complete. To disconnect the UPS bypass input,
open the BIN breaker.

On the MBP, confirm SMB is closed, 52L is locked open and BIN is open.
Close BIN. (Warning: This will provide power to the UPS)
On the UPS, follow the procedures in the UPS Owner’s Manual to start the
UPS and transfer the UPS to inverter.
On the UPS, follow the procedures in the UPS Owner’s Manual to stop the
UPS and transfer the UPS to static bypass.
On the UPS, confirm with the flow diagram on the LCD that the load is fed
via the UPS’ static bypass line. DO NOT PROCEED IF THE LOAD IS NOT
FED VIA THE STATIC BYPASS (For assistance, contact technical support
at 1-800-887-7830)
After confirming step 5, on the MBP, press and hold the SKRU push button
and remove the key from the SKRU.
On the MBP, insert the key into the 52L key interlock and rotate the key
(retracting the barrel).
On the MBP, close 52L.
On the MBP, open SMB.
On the MBP, rotate the key in SMB key interlock (extending the barrel to
lock SMB open).
On the MBP, remove the key from SMB and insert the key into the SKRU.
Rotate the key in the SKRU to lock the key.
On the UPS, transfer the load from static bypass to inverter (refer to the
UPS Owner’s Manual).
The transfer is now complete. The load is protected by the UPS.
