Water on call
Where underground
hydrants are provided, the
water mains can be tapped
directly. Our standpipe meters
are ideally equipped for this
task. To ensure they can all be
connected without difficulty,
the technical details involved
have been carefully defined –
in Germany, for example, by
DIN 14 375.
More or less everywhere,
the statutory regulations demand that the water removed
(directly from the mains) be
metered and invoiced.
For this purpose, we offer
three types of meters, graded
by flow range. All of them
may be calibrated and
certified.

STM-E features

All stainless steel hydrants
are fitted with a conical
strainer as a standard feature,
to protect the meter against
damage from coarse particles
in the water.
We also recommend
installing a non-return valve.
Depending on the stresses
involved, a choice is offered
of stainless steel or aluminium
standpipe meters. The latter
variant provides no fewer than
three advantages: it’s not only
lightweight and inexpensive,
the „soft“ material is also easier
on the underground hydrants.
