Quick Networking Guide
This guide will show you how to set up your IP camera for connection over the Internet using a PC,
Smartphone, or Tablet.
NOTE: If you are using the IP camera with an NVR, you should use the
instructions included with the NVR to set up a remote connection.
Before You Start:
Make sure you have:
• A router and high-speed Internet access (not included).
• Connected the IP camera to a router or switch on your network using an Ethernet cable. See the Quick
Connection Guide for details.
• A PC connected to the same network as your IP camera.
• Mac users, please visit www.flirsecurity.com for instructions.
1 Record Your IP and MAC Address
a MAC Address: The IP camera’s MAC address is printed on the product label located on
the camera housing.
2 Local Connection (for PC)
a Install CMS software for PC from the CD
or from www.flirsecurity.com on a
computer in the same LAN as the IP camera.
b Click Config Manager>Device Manage.
c Click Search Device. If a Windows Firewall
alert appears, click Allow.
d The IP camera appears in the list with the IP
address under IP. Record the IP address in the
space in Step 1; it is required to set up port
forwarding.
e Check the IP camera and click Add
Management.
f Enter the User Name (default: admin) and
Password (default: admin) for the IP camera
and click OK.
g Click OK.
h Click Device List. Click + next to No Group.
i Double-click the IP camera. Click-and-drag the
IP camera to the display area to view.

3 Port Forwarding
Click Add

4 Register for FLIR DDNS
Manually forward ports 80 and 35000 to the IP camera’s IP address.
All routers are different. To port forward your router, please refer to your router’s user manual.
a Open your web browser and go to:
http://ddns.myddns-flir.com
b Click Create Account.
Product License:
Select your product
model from the
Product License
drop down menu
(i.e. DNB13TF2).

c Complete the Account Information fields with
your personal information.
NOTE: An automatic port forwarding wizard is available from www.flirsecurity.com.
NOTE: If you are configuring multiple IP cameras, you must change the ports used
by each camera. Two cameras cannot use the same port number. For information on
changing camera ports, see the instruction manual for your camera.
d Complete the System Information fields:

(i.e. your name, your

e Once the information has been entered,
click Create New Account. Your Account
information will be sent to you at the email
Address you used in Step c.

5 Enable DDNS on your IP Camera
Once you have registered for free DDNS service, use the information in the confirmation
email (recorded in Step 4f) to configure DDNS settings on your system.

In the CMS software, right click the IP
camera in the Device List, then click
Advanced>Device Config.
