Radian Pro DX6i Setup
With the DX6i you can use flaps and CROW on the Radian Pro. This setup allows you to
use basic flaps or engage CROW with the DX6i. There are not enough mixes available on
the DX6i to allow for camber and reflex settings in addition to flaps and CROW;
however, these are not required to enjoy the Radian Pro.
The setup shown has the flaps operated by the Gear switch on the DX6i. When the flap
switch is in the up position and the gear switch is flipped, the flaps will deploy.
If the flap switch is in the down position and the gear switch is flipped, it will deploy
CROW.
CAUTION: When setting up the airplane with the airplane turned on,
you should unplug the motor or remove the propeller to prevent the
motor from accidentally going to full throttle, if throttle is selected when
setting up one of the mixes.
Setting up Dual Aileron
1. In the Setup List menu, go to the Wing Tail Mix.
Select DUALAILE to ACT (active).

Setting up CROW
2. Go to the Adjust List Menu.
Go to Mix 1, activate the mix
and select GEAR Æ FLAP.
On the Rate, leave the Down at 0% and change the Up to -65%.
Select the SW (switch) to the FLAP switch.
This mixes the ailerons with the flaps for CROW. Changing the Up value will
change the amount of up aileron you will have when CROW is engaged.
Setting up Elevator Compensation
3. Go to Adjust List Menu.
Go to Mix 2, activate the mix
and select GEAR Æ ELEV.
On the Rate, leave the Down at 0% and change the Up to -20%.
Select the SW (switch) to the GEAR switch.
This mixes down elevator with the flaps to prevent the airplane from ballooning
when flaps are deployed. This value will have to be fine-tuned depending on the
amount of flap travel and the amount of up aileron setup for CROW.
Radian Pro DX7/7se Setup
With the DX7 you can take full advantage of the possible mixing options on the Radian Pro.
This setup allows for CROW, camber and reflex, and normal flaps to be programmed into the
radio.
The setup listed has the flaps operated by the AUX 2 switch on the DX7. The 3-position flaps
switch controls the camber and reflex and the gear switch activates the CROW.
This setup uses a 6 channel receiver. If a 7 channel receiver is used, for the mixing to work
correctly, the flaps must use the Y-Harness.
CAUTION: When setting up the airplane with the airplane turned on, it
is advisable to unplug the motor or remove the propeller to prevent the
motor from accidentally going to full throttle, if throttle is selected when
setting up one of the mixes.
Setting up Dual Aileron
In the main setup menu, turn FLAPERON to ON.
Reversing
Throttle: normal
Aileron: reverse
Elevator: reverse
Rudder: reverse
Gear: normal
Flap: reverse
AUX2: normal
Setting up the Flaps on the Gear Channel
Adjust the travel adjust on the gear so when the gear switch is in the up position the flaps are
even with the trailing edge of the wing. When the gear switch is moved to the down position,
set the value to give the amount of flap throw listed in the manual.
Setting up the Aileron for Camber and Reflex
1. Go to the FLAP SYS menu
2. Set the NORM to U 20%
3. Set MID to 0%
4. Set LAND to DN 20%
These values give the amount of up and down aileron when using the camber and
reflex.
Setting up Aileron for CROW
1. Go to PROG. MIX 1
2. Activate the mix
3. Select GEAR FLAP
4. On the rate, set switch position 0 to 0%
5. Set the 1 position to -80%
6. Set switch to ON (SW: ON)
This mixes the flaps to the gear channel allowing you to set up the CROW. The number you
select for the #1 position will control how much up aileron you will have when CROW is
engaged.
Setting up Flaps for Camber and Reflex
1. Go to PROG. MIX 2
2. Activate the mix
3. Select FLAP GEAR
4. On the rate, set position 0 to 50%
5. On the rate, set position 1 to 50%
6. Set switch to ON (SW: ON)
This mixes the flaps with the aileron to give you the amount of up and down flap when using
the camber and reflex. This adjusts the amount of reflex or camber you would adjust with this
mix and the FLAP SYS values to have the flaps and aileron moving the same distance up and
down.
Setting up Flaps
1. Go to PROG. MIX 3
2. Activate the mix
3. Select AUX 2 GEAR
4. On the rate, set switch 0 to 0%
5. On the rate, set position 1 to +100%
6. Set switch to ON (SW: ON)
7. This mix puts the flaps onto the AUX 2 switch for simple flaps.
Setting up Elevator Compensation for the CROW
1. Go to PROG. MIX 4
2. Activate the mix
3. Select GEAR ELEV
4. On the rate, set switch 0 to 0%
5. On the rate, set position 1 to -15%
6. Set switch to ON (SW: ON)
This mixes the elevator to the gear switch that controls CROW to allow for elevator
compensation when CROW is activated. Adjust the #1 position to fine- tune the amount of
down elevator required when CROW is activated.
Setting up Elevator Compensation for the Flaps
1. Go to PROG. MIX 5
2. Activate the mix
3. Select AUX 2 ELEV
4. On the rate, set switch 0 to 0%
5. On the rate, set position 1 to -15%
6. Set switch to ON (SW: ON)
This mixes the elevator to the AUX 2 switch that controls flaps to allow for elevator
compensation when the flaps are activated. Adjust the #1 position to fine- tune the amount of
down elevator required when the flaps are activated.
