OUR
HERITAGE
Kawasaki represents a unique
engineering heritage and a wealth
of technological expertise combined
with passion, performance and
individuality.
2
You can’t buy or “invent” heritage, that’s why our history of
creating iconic machines is the envy of other manufacturers
and celebrated with such enthusiasm by loyal Kawasaki riders
the world over. Our hard won reputation for manufacturing
provocative and distinctive motorcycles creates a positive point
of difference in a world of uniformity and sets Kawasaki apart.
RACING SPIRIT
From World Supersport, WSBK and
World Endurance to challenging
Supercross arenas and motocross
circuits, Kawasaki’s competition spirit
is engrained in every rider and at the
core of every lime green machine.
Engineering, technology and a passion to compete. The desire to
gain that vital fraction of a second, that final metre of track and that
coveted podium top step. And what fuels that passion? The drive to
build still more advanced motorcycles and to meet the performance
expectations of Kawasaki fans. Judge us by our success; judge us by
our track record.
4
Winners circle
To race you must compete – to win
you must dominate. Kawasaki teams
and riders have dominated key
Championships in 2012. Delivering our
second World Supersport Championship,
Kenan Sofuoglu demonstrated the race
DNA of the Ninja ZX-6R. Likewise, Tom
Sykes pushed the Ninja ZX-10R to nine
superpoles and four race wins in an
heroic WSBK Championship challenge.
Kawasaki are once again Le Mans
winners with the SRC Endurance team
winning for a third consecutive year and
at a record pace while also dominating
French Superbike and Supersport
racing. Kawasaki Ninja riders also took
the British Superbike, Superstock 1000
and 600 titles as well as two Isle of Man
TT wins and further Championships or
race wins in Italy, Germany, Portugal,
Switzerland and Spain. Come join us in
the winner’s circle.
Holeshot heroes
Ryan Villopoto achieved his second AMA World Supercross title in 2012. Meanwhile
Gautier Paulin posted third spot in FIM World MX1 in his rookie season. With proven
winners Tommy Searle and Joel Roelants gravitating to MX1 in 2013, Kawasaki
holeshots and wins look set to continue.

Mass appeal
Braking news
Stacked cassette style gearbox, advanced fine atomising fuel
injection and tuned length exhaust headers show how refined
this twin-cylinder motor is.
This low-slung stubby silencer is just one clue to the mass
centralised design of the ER-6f. Flick from side to side and you’ll
understand the easy handling result.
With an advanced ABS option plus a pair of heat dissipating petal

just as dependably and enthusiastically as it goes.

Chassis highlights
Power & Torque
This engine delivers noticeably stronger torque and
power at all rpm. New pistons, cylinder, cylinder head and
exhaust contribute to improved performance with power
delivery suitable for both new and experienced riders.
New chassis features adjustable suspension redesigned
frame tubes and rigidity balance plus rubber front engine
mounts. The new 37 mm fork has revised settings for
increased ride comfort in the city, and smooth, stable
handling when sport riding.
With both improved power and torque over its 250cc
predecessor, the Ninja 300 exhibits a strong, linear
power delivery with torque – or pulling power – available
consistently across the rev range.
F.C.C Assist clutch
The race style lightweight F.C.C. Assist & Slipper Clutch
uses two types of cams: an assist and slipper cam.
When the engine is operating at normal rpm the assist
cam functions as servo allowing clutch spring load to
be reduced, resulting in a lighter clutch lever pull and
creating a 25% lighter clutch lever feel. The back-torque
limiter “slipper” clutch helps prevent wheel hop when
downshifting.
Dual throttle valves
Dual throttle valves are fitted to the Ninja 300 and
significantly improve driveability by accurately metering the
delivery of the air/fuel mixture across the rev range. The
sub-throttle valves are controlled by the ECU to provide
precise response.
