Warning
When the Washlet is installed in a bathroom;
Make sure to caulk around the power plug with silicone sealant for
waterproofing.
● Power plug without waterproofing may result in fire or electrical shock.

Please follow these safety precautions.
Please read these safety instructions before using your Washlet. The following details are important
safety precautions, which should always be followed.
• The definitions of symbols that are used throughout this manual are detailed below.

Washlet is an electrical appliance and therefore, do NOT install in a location where there is
a likelihood of water being splashed over it or where the ambient moisture content is such
that water droplets form on its surface.
When using this product in a bathroom, ensure that there is adequate ventilation by means
of ventilating fan, or vent port.
● Follow these instructions to avoid a risk of fire or electrical shock.
Install the power plug socket as follows.

a. Protect the circuit with a high sensitivity/high speed circuit breaker (rated sensitivity current;
15mA or less) or insulating transformer (from 1.5kVA to 3kVA both inclusive).
b. Mount the power plug socket at least 800mm above floor level and as far away from the
bathtub as possible.
✲ Check to see that the above wiring work specified in a. and b. above is done and complate.
Otherwise, please request your installer to complete wiring.
Make sure that ground wire is properly installed.
● Failre to install a ground wire could result in electrical
shock in the event of malfunction or leakage.
Note :
To complate a ground wire, use copper wire with earth
resistance 100Ω or less and with a diameter 1.6mm and
more.
✲ In case that ground wire is not installed, please request
your installer to complete grounding.

● When sitting on the heated toilet seat for extended periods of time, turn the temperature setting
to OFF.
● Make sure that the temperature setting for the heated toilet seat has been set to the OFF

Keep away from heat
Do Not place fingers or any other objects in the warm air opening.
Do not wipe the toilet unit or seat
with a dry cloth or toilet paper.
Do not place hands or clothing over the warm air opening.

● Placing hands or clothing over the warm air opening may result in
burns, electrical shock, or burn out.
Use only "Washlet" cleaner or a mild dish detergent diluted with water to clean your
Washlet. Do Not use the following to clean the Washlet:
Do Not stand on or place heavy objects on top of the toilet or on the
seat.
● To avoid injury or damage to the toilet unit, do not stand on or place
heavy objects on top of the toilet or on the seat.
Use of the product under direct sunlight
may result in discoloration of the plastic,
inconsistent temperature control of the
toilet seat or malfunction of the remote
controller.
Avoid getting urine on the main unit
or the wand as this may result in
malfunction of the product.
Do not cover the seat sensor, or
remote control transmitter.
Do not lean back against the lid.
To avoid electrical damage to your
unit, be sure to turning off the cabinet
panel breaker during lightening
storms.

Toilet bowl cleaner, household cleaner, benzene, paint thinner, powdered cleanser, or nylon
scrubbing pads.
● Use of any cleaning product other than Washlet cleaner or diluted dish detergent may crack
the plastic and cause injury to the user or may damage the hose resulting in water leakage.
Use of a dry cloth or toilet paper to wipe
the toilet bowl, seat or lid will scratch the
surface.
Do not expose the Washlet to direct
sunlight.
Covering the sensor or remote control
transmitter will prevent them from
working properly.
Do Not try to raise the washlet main unit by holding the seat or the lid.
● The main unit may come off and fall causing personal injury.
Do Not bend or crush the connection hose.
● Bending or crushing the connection hose may result in water leakage.
Do Not remove the water filter with drain valve when the water shutoff valve is open.
● Never fail to close the water shutoff valve before removing the water filter with drain valve to
prevent water from spewing out.
Please refer to Page 22 for instructions on cleaning the water filter.

Leaning against the toilet seat cover may
damage or break it.
When not using the Washlet over an extended period of time, be sure to turn off the switch
on the cabinet panel.
● Turn off the switch on the cabinet panel to ensure safety.
● Water left standing in the toilet hose over an extended period of time may get soiled and could
cause irritation to the skin. Never fail to drain the Washlet and refill it with fresh water before
use.
Please refer to Page 27 for instructions on draining water.
If water leakage should occur, always close the water
shutoff valve and then turn off the water.

Always adhere to the following precautions to prevent ruptured batteries and battery acid leakage.
Use the same type of batteries each time you replace batteries.
Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when not using the remote controller for extended periods of time.
● Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Settings (temperature, energy saving mode) may be lost when replacing batteries. Be sure to reset the desired settings after installing new
batteries.

How to Use the Washlet

● Wipe excess water away with a piece of toilet paper before drying for
better results.

heat to the desired setting.

Using the toilet while the Energy-Saving Timer is activated:
● When you sit down on the toilet seat when the Energy-Saving Timer is ON, the toilet seat and water tank
will warm up temporarily and then turn off automatically.
● In this case, it will take approximately 15 minutes for the seat to warm up.
● It will take approximately 10 minutes for the tank to heat the water.

● When changing the start time for Energy-Saving mode, first turn the timer OFF and then set the new time
by pressing the Timer ON/OFF button again.

Caring for your Washlet
Before Cleaning the Washlet
When cleaning the toilet bowl with cleaner
● After using toilet bowl cleaner or disinfectant to clean the toilet bowl, flush the bowl right away (within 3
minutes) and leave the toilet seat and lid open. Wipe away any cleaner that spills onto the toilet seat. (To
prevent evaporated gas from the toilet bowl cleaner from getting into the main unit of the Washlet.).
Each component can be disassembled for a thorough cleaning.

Wipe the components with a soft damp cloth.

Wet and wring out a soft cloth for wiping the
surface of the components.

both hands and pull straight up.
● The toilet seat cord can only be extended
about 1.5 cm. (Do not apply force to pull the
cord out as this may damage the wires.)

dish detergent (neutral) and wipe down the
washlet surfaces.
Then wipe off the detergent solution with a
damp cloth.

● Do not use a dry cloth or toilet paper to wipe plastic components as this may scratch the surfaces.
● Be careful not to get water on the electrical components. Always wipe up any excess detergent and water
that gets into crevices.

optimum operation. (See page 28~30)

● When the water pressure for rear wash or the front wash feature gets low, it's time to clean the
water filter.
● Remove the filter and clean the mesh by running

it under water.
✲ Use a small brush, such as a toothbrush to
remove any dirt that is lodged in the mesh.
✲ Remove any dirt that may have deposited inside
the hole for inserting the drain valve with a
cotton swab.
