Raymarine Dragonfly Pro and Wi-Fish now enable SonarChart™ Live! 02 July 2015 Raymarine Dragonfly 4 and 5 PRO and Wi-Fish wireless units now enable SonarChart™ Live, that creates an HD bathymetry map in real-time on the Navionics Boating app while navigating. They both also provide CHIRP DownVision in split-screen, while the Dragonfly PRO also equips users with a fishfinder view. SonarChart Live is an embedded, free feature. SonarChart Live is an excellent way to monitor the improvements your survey will bring to the SonarChart because contours are instantly seen while your'e collecting sonar logs. You may check your logs processing status and see them on the map. The new SonarChart, resulting from your and others’ sonar logs, checked and interpolated with existing Navionics data, will be available after about one week to the whole community on plotter, mobile and PC. Get the new SonarChart on your mobile app by going to Menu>Update All (or Download Map). How do I create my new SonarChart Live? With the Navionics Boating app installed and updated to version 8.1 on iPhone or iPad (not currently available for Android): - Close any other app that may have used the devices Wi-Fi before. - Connect the wireless device to your mobile via Wi-Fi. - Open the Navionics Boating app and engage the GPS. - Begin viewing the new HD bathymetry map created instantly on-screen as you move across the water where you desire enhanced detail. - Adjust the color and transparency of your personal layer by accessing Menu>Map Options>Advanced Settings (make sure Safety Depth/Depth Shading is set to the max value).
