High functional reliability: The actuator is limited to a 94° angle of rotation by
means of two mechanical end stops. The
internal limit switches interrupt the power
supply to the motor. The motor thermostat provides additional overload protection because it also interrupts the power
supply at 135 °C.
Manual operation: Turning the handwheel clockwise closes the butterfly
valve, while turning it counterclockwise
opens the valve. The handwheel does
not move while the motor is starting. The
stem (butterfly valve) remains in position
until the power supply is energized (control takes priority).
Position indication: The indicator is on
top of the actuator inside the sight glass.
Note: The WD6 mounting kits (fixing
accessories for the rotary actuator) are
included in the scope of delivery, providing the «butterfly valve and rotary actuator» are ordered together.
Safety note
The rotary actuator contains no components which can be replaced or repaired
by the user.

Cams
Adjusting the cams
The cams for adjusting the limit and auxiliary switches are accessible if the cover
of the housing is removed.
Only authorized and trained persons
are allowed to change the settings.
The LS4/LS3 auxiliary switches can optionally be connected for signalization purposes.
The LS2/LS1 limit switches interrupt the
power supply to the motor and are controlled by means of the TC.. cams.
The cams rotate with the stem. The butterfly valve closes when the stem is turned clockwise (cw) and opens when it is
turned counterclockwise (ccw).
1 Loosen the TC.. cams to be adjusted
with a 2.5 mm hexagonal key
2 Turn the cams with the hexagonal key
3 Adjust the cams as shown in the diagram below
4 Tighten the cams again with the hexagonal key

The mechanical angle of rotation limiting
is set to 92° at the factory.
The handwheel turns the planetary gear
by means of a worm wheel. The gear is
stopped mechanically by the two adjusting screws 1 and 2 (1 1/2 turns of the
adjusting screws correspond to a 2°
angle of rotation).
The two limit switches (LS2/LS1) are set
to a 90° angle of rotation. They must
always switch off the motor before the
angle of rotation is mechanically limited.
