RealCare Baby® Battery

Replacement Kit

Kit Contents: Batteries (2), Screwdriver (1), Zip ties (5), Screws (2)

Other requirements NOT included in kit: RealCare key, RealCare Baby, Cutter

HOW TO REMOVE OLD BATTERIES

Use the following instructions to remove and replace the RealCare Baby batteries attached to the electronics assembly. View the support video at: www.realityworks.com/battery-replacement/

1) Remove the back cover by inserting the

RealCare key into the keyhole, press down and turn 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

2) Remove two phillips-head screws and discard.

Remove the module by pulling straight out.

3) Cut all battery wires near the battery end.

4) Cut all four zip ties, remove and discard.

5) Disconnect the two battery connectors by pulling on the wires.

Note: Properly dispose of old batteries or return them to Realityworks.

HOW TO INSTALL NEW BATTERIES

6) Plug in the two replacement batteries. Plug the battery connectors fully in the sockets.

7) Fasten connector side battery with two zip ties.

Pull the zip ties tight. Cut off excess. Rotate the buckles to the bottom.

8) Zip tie second battery in place with wires going through the board gap. Pull tight, cut off excess, and rotate buckles to the bottom.

9) Line up the edge of the new electronics assembly with the middle slots in the plastic tray. The electronics assembly will slide freely if aligned properly. The cutaway faces toward

Baby’s feet. DO NOT USE FORCE while sliding the new electronics assembly into the tray.

10) Secure the electronic assembly with two new screws. Replace the back cover, press down and lock with the RealCare key.

11) Fully charge new batteries before use.
