Additional functions
Marking of blood glucose results
Ketone alarm
While the blood glucose value is being
displayed, and prior to removing the test
strip, the glucose result can be marked
by selecting the marker or appropriate
symbol (see below) with the left / right
key [
] and confirming with the
mode key [ ].
A measurement taken "before meal" is
indicated with a whole fish. If this marker
is confirmed, an alarm bell appears in front
of the fish.
By confirming, an alarm is set to sound
2.5 hours after meal as a reminder to
take a blood glucose measurement. If the
alarm option is not required, the left / right
key [
] must be pressed. The alarm
bell disappears.
The marker for measurements "after meal"
is a "fishbone" symbol.
The marker for measurements "during or
after physical exercise" has an "athlete" for a
symbol.
Measurements can be marked with a "tick"
to indicate "special situations". Values with
this symbol are not included in the average
calculations.
If the ketone alarm is activated in the set up menu and a
blood glucose level of ≥ 250 mg / dL is measured, the ketone
alarm is given. A beep is to be heard and a line runs on the
display from left to right.
Automatically storage of up to
400 glucose results
To view the memory, which is available
only when the GlucoMen® LX Plus is
switched off, briefly press the mode key
[ ]. To view the stored blood glucose
and b-ketone values plus markers
chronologically, press the left / right key
[
].
To display the average blood glucose
results from 1, 7, 14 and 30 days, the
mode key [ ] must be pressed repeatedly.
A flashing alarm bell in the 1-day average
display indicates that the reminder for
measurement after meal is activated.
The alarm can be deactivated by pressing the left key [ ].
