Chapter 1: Getting Started
How to Login and Logout
Matrix Mobile is a stripped down text-based version of the Matrix system you are accustomed
to. This makes it easy to view listings, access listings, and create searches on your PDA
(personal data assistant) device.
Logging into Matrix
Open your PDA’s web browser and in the address line type
[http://matrixmobile.heartlandmls.com]
The next screen you see should be the Matrix login screen.
When the login screen appears, type in your MLS ID and Password (Note – the password is case
sensitive). Then select the
button.
Once you are logged in, the Matrix Mobile Home Page will appear as shown below.

Matrix Navigation Overview
Residential: Search for Residential properties (SF, Condo, Townhouse, etc.)
Multifamily: Search for Multifamily properties
Commercial: Search for Commercial MLS listings
Vacant Land: Search for Vacant Land or Lot MLS listings
Cross Property: Search for MLS listings which cover all property types.
Tax:
Search and lookup Tax records over 6 counties
Saved Searches: Access, manage, and modify pre-existing saved searches you have created.
The number in brackets indicates how many you have. (see Chapter 3)
Contacts: Create and manage contacts for reference or to be auto-emailed new listing
notifications. The number in brackets indicates how many you have. (see Chapter 5)
Settings: Change whether the first photo or map is displayed for each listing (see Chapter 9)
Logout: Log out of the Matrix Mobile system to ensure the security of your information.
MLS# Search: Quick access to search for specific MLS numbers. Press
to begin the search.

Chapter 2: Performing Searches
All property search types (Residential, Vacant Land, Industrial Commercial, and Cross Property)
display the same basic search window. For the purposes of this documentation, we will focus
on Residential.
Search Types:
Residential:
MLS#:
This is where you type in the desired MLS
numbers to search for. Use a comma to
separate multiple items in a list.
Price
Criteria for listing price (enter either single value
or price range)
Street #:
You can search for properties by house/address
number.
Search for listings based on their street name.
Street Name:
Zip Code:
Search for listings based on their Zip Code
number.
Status:
Determine and select the listing status(es) to
search for.
Bedrooms:
Number of Bedrooms in property:
Use dash for ranges (ie: 2-4)
Use + or - for greater/less than (2-, 2+)
Full Baths:
Number of Full Baths in property:
Same rules apply as Bedrooms
Sqft
Total Square Footage
Same rules apply as Bedrooms (ie: 1200+)
Clear Search:
Clear your existing search criteria and start over.
Home:
Navigate back to the home (main) page.

Search Results
Single-Line
You should receive a single-line display of all your listings after pressing the Search button.
You can view the full display of any property by
selecting its respective single-line link.
The listing status for each property will be
enclosed in square brackets at the beginning of
the link.
The current list price will be shown at the end of
the link in brackets.
*NOTE: You can select the ‘Next’ link to view the
next 25 results in your search.
Once you have done this, you will then be able to
select ‘Previous’ to view the previous 25 results in
your search.
Revise allows you to return to the original search
page and modify your search criteria.
Email will take you to a page where you can email
the desired listings (see Chapter 8).
View Cart allows you to view listings that you
have already added to your cart (see Chapter 4)
Empty Cart will clear your cart of all listings
Home will take you back to the home page.

Chapter 3: Saved Searches
From the home page, you can access and edit your Hot Searches and Saved Searches.
Saved Search screen:
Details of Hot/Saved Search
Run
Run the Saved Search to view
results.
Revise
Revise search criteria (see Chap 2)
Single Line View
Return to the previous saved
searches list.
All Saved Searches screen:
View Saved Searches
View Saved Searches (if any)
created by you under Matrix.
Links to each Saved
Search
Select a saved search to see its
details. You can then run or revise
the search afterwards.

Chapter 4: Using the Cart
The Cart is used to save/bookmark listings across any property type for future reference. This
can be especially useful if you want to note specific listings without including them in a search
necessarily. You also have the ability to email all listings in the cart at once.
The Cart can be accessed from the bottom of any listing in Single Line or Full Display view.

Chapter 6: Viewing Photos
The following is the screen you will see when you have selected ‘View Photos’ from any listing’s
full display or map page.
Navigate between each set of
photos. Select ‘Next’ or ‘Previous’

Chapter 8: Email
When you have accessed the full display of a listing, you have the option of emailing this listing
to a contact. This can either be a new email address, or someone in your Contacts list (see
Chap 5).

Enter the email address to send to, or
choose one from your contact list (see
Chap 5).
Bcc Me
Choose to send yourself a blind carbon
copy of the email (select checkbox).
Display Mode
Setup display mode for email.
Subject
Enter a Subject for the email.
Send
Send the email out.
Back to Search
Results
Return to previous search results
Display dropdown box:
Select the Display dropdown box to
choose the desired Email display.

Chapter 9: Settings
After saving your settings, you will be returned to the Home page.
Show Photo on Display
Select whether the first photo is
displayed on a listing’s full view
(select checkbox).
Show Map on Display
Select whether the map is displayed
on a listing’s full display (select
checkbox).
Save
Select to Save the changes.
