INPUT MODULE - Simplified
Input (1 - 16)
!
!
!
!
!
Switchable MIC/LINE input (press 'MIC' to select mic signal/'LINE' to select tape)
Lines 1 - 8 = Analog Multitrack Output / Lines 9 - 16 = Digital Multitrack Output /
Mics 1 - 8 = Front Rack Panel / Mics 9 - 12 = Booth Panel
Variable gain contol (use 12 o'clock/straight up as starting point; adjust as needed)
Phantom power (+48VDC) ON/OFF for capacitance mics ONLY
Polarity ('PHASE') switch to invert polarity of input signal
Equalizer
!
!
!
!
!
!
Four 'bands' (ranges) that allow control over the audio spectrum.
Boost or cut of 15dB w/ centre detent control
Initially set each to '0' as starting point
Two overlapping sweep frequency ranges
80Hz (high pass) filter can be switched in or out
Equalizer section switchable between the input channel & the monitor channel
(see Monitor Section below)
Auxiliary Sends (for EFX & Cue)
!
!
!
!
!
Six auxiliary sends total; initially set those used to 12 o'clock & adjust as needed
Aux 1 is permanently pre-fader
Auxes 2-6 can be switched pre or post the channel fader.
Auxes 5-6 can be selected between the channel or monitor path (see Mon Section)
o Aux 1 & 2 directly feed to the Lexicon MX200 Effects Processor
o Aux 3 & 4 directly feed to the TC M350 Effects Processor
o Aux 5 & 6 directly feed to the Cue / Headphone System
** See Aux Master Section to adjust overall level **
Monitor Section (used for Recording Project)
!
!
!
!
!
!
to monitor a reproduce (repro) channel from a multi-track recording device
separate signal path which feeds the master remix outputs
PANPOT to allow panning between outputs for this tape signal
used during 'recording' & 'overdubbing', or as addn'l inputs during 'mixing'
'AUX 5/6 TO MON' depressed to derive Cue System feed from recorder
'EQ TO MON' depressed to allow equalizer use on recorder return
Channel Fader & Routing
!
!
!
!
!
AET1380
controls level of 'input' signal feeding to submaster or master output section; initially
set to ~ -5 to -10 on channels used & adjust as needed
PANPOT to allow panning between outputs for this signal
'MUTE' button allows signal to be cut-off from passing further
'SOLO' button allows signal to be monitored post-fade but before the master output
(to adjust input gain trim to optimal level)
output selector L/R assigns to stereo submaster section (mixing); and 1/2, 3/4, 5/6,
7/8 to appropriate submaster output section (recording/overdubbing)

SUBMASTER MODULE - Simplified
Auxiliary Master Send
!
!
Adjust for control over combined individual Aux Sends 1 - 6 to Effects Processors
Set those used for between 12 o'clock (straight up) & 3 o'clock initially
Auxiliary Return
!
!
!
!
Controls level of signal returning from Effects Processors (e.g. reverb) to the Stereo
Submaster; initially set those used to ~ 12 o'clock
RETURN 7 is a direct feed from the Lexicon MC200; RETURN 8 from the TC M350.
Panpot affects L/R balance for these signals to Stereo Master (leave @ 12 o'clock)
MUTE turns on/off
Submaster Metering (used during Recording)
!
!
!
Indicates signal level of each submaster output (post-fader) OR multitrack return
(see Submaster Fader section below)
Should be indicating less than full scale at any time, nominally @ 0
Used during recording/ overdubbing
Auxiliary Sends (may be used during Recording)
!
!
!
Allows submaster signal to be directed to Aux 5 and/or Aux 6
Typically used during recording/overdubbing to derive stereo headphone feed for
musicians
Also used for feed to aux effects (e.g. reverb)
Submaster Monitor Section (may be used during Recording)
!
!
!
!
!
Allows control of feed to stereo (L/R) submaster output
Panpot allows panning between L/R as needed
Depress 'SOLO' to feed submaster output directly to solo function for listening
'TAPE' button selects whether the 8 track recorder return, or the send to the
recorder, feed to the L/R monitoring output
Metering follows this selection, and will reflect this change.
Submaster Fader & Routing (used during Recording)
!
!
!
AET1380
Allows control of the output level of each of the 8 subgroup masters (to the
multitrack)
Initially set those used to '0' (typical)
Level is indicated by a 12 segment bar graph display (see Monitor Section above)

MASTER SECTION - Simplified
The Master section of the ATB console contains all of the controls
that affect the overall functionality of the console.
Headphone Output (not used during Mix Tutorial)
!
Allows auditioning of selected output by using headphones
Two Track Selector
!
!
Selection between 2TK Dig/2TK2/2TK1 Returns
All in 'UP' position (not depressed) to monitor the Stereo Output
Solo Level / Headphone Level
!
!
Adjusts overall SOLO level (initially set ~ 3 o'clock)
Adjusts overall PHONES level (initially set ~ 12 o'clock) as needed
Stereo Metering
!
!
!
12-segment bargraph meters indicate the signal being sent from the master
Left/Right stereo outputs, or selected by the Two Track Selector above.
Should be registering peaks between 0 & +3
VU meters (above Aux Sends) are provided which read in parallel with the bar graph
meters.
Monitor Level Control
! ALT MONITOR selects main monitors when UP; ALT when depressed (not used).
! MONO creates mono signal from stereo (left/right sum) to listen to result
! MON LEVEL controls control room speaker monitoring level (initially set this to 12
o'clock)
Talkback (used during Recording)
! Built-in TB MIC picks up audio from engineer/producer in the control room
! TB LEVEL controls signal level from TB MIC
! TALK TO GROUPS/TALK TO AUXES when selected feeds TB MIC signal to
appropriate outputs; automatically 'dims' CR speakers by 25 dB as needed.
Stereo Master Output
! Stereo fader controls the level of the master stereo output (initially set to -5)
! This affects the stereo signal that feeds to the mix recorder to be recorded.
! The HHB CD-Recorder is directly connected to this stereo output via the patchbay.
! Follow instructions in the B25 Manual for use of the HHB CD-Recorder.
! Set the HHB to 'INPUT' to see the signal begin fed from the console.
