5.8 The System Setup Process
The system setup includes two steps: establishing the country setting, and establishing
the OSD language setting.
5.8.1
Country Setting
The DVB-T system has 3 types of frequencies: 6/7/8MHz. Different signals are used in
different areas, so during initial setup, country code must be established, before the
channel scan process can be performed.
Follow instructions below to establish the country setting:
1. Hold the Source key for five seconds until the DTV Menu appears.
2. Select the System Setting. Press the MENU (OK) key.
3. Select Regional Setting, then press the MENU (OK) key.
4. The Regional Setting menu appears. At Country, press VOL+ or VOL- key to select
your country.
Countries include TWN (Taiwan), Vietnam, Deutschland, England, Italia, France,
Espana, Nederland, Australia, and China.
Note: If your country is not included in the list of countries, please refer to the DVB-T
Frequency Table and Country List. For example, the country Poland has an 8 MHz
regional setting. Because Poland is not listed, simply choose a country with a similar
setting, for instance Holland or Spain.
5. The OSD language will change according to the country selected. Select the
appropriate country to aid in DTV Menu operation. After establishing country and
OSD language settings, press the MENU (OK) key. Note: OSD languages include
English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch.
6. After making selections, press the Source (Exit) key to exit the DTV MENU control.
Keys resume their original functions.
Note: Country and OSD language settings must only be established once.
