Thank you for buying the HouseParty 4, home stereo speaker system with FM radio for iPod. Please read over this manual before use and retain it for future reference.

Return Policy / Warranty Service

Warranty claims will only be valid when accompanied with proof of purchase to evidence that the product was purchased from an authorised dealer and that the claim is within allowed period. To make a warranty claim you must first contact Disruptive Limited by email to [email protected] stating your name, full postal address, telephone number, date and place of purchase and a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing and don't forget to include the name of the product and its serial number.

If the defect is covered by this warranty then you will be provided with a Return to Manufacturer

Authorisation number and instructions for return shipment. Sending the product back to us under this warranty shall be at your expense, and the return MUST be accompanied by the original proof of purchase whilst we highly recommend that you retain a copy of this. Disruptive Limited shall not responsible for lost or damaged products during shipment. Any product returned without the original proof of purchase will be returned without being examined or tested and such return shall be at the customer’s expense.

To avoid any additional charges, all returns and exchanges must include the original packing materials, product box, all included accessories which may include, but not necessarily be limited to, power adapters or power cords, connecting cables, remote controls, adapters, inserts cards and instruction manuals. The absence of any of the aforementioned items may mean that you incur a charge for their replacement. Disruptive Limited shall not be liable for any inconvenience, or loss of time, loss of use of the product.

Please read before use.

Getting started:

■ Plug the power supply into the back of the unit and then into the mains supply.

■ Press the � button on the speaker or the remote.

For use with iPod:

■ Select and insert the correct iPod docking adapter to suit your iPod.

N.B. Please ensure that you use the dock adapters to avoid damage to the dock connector.

■ Carefully insert your iPod into the dock, the HouseParty 4 will automatically switch into iPod mode.

■ If your iPod is already in play mode it will immediately begin to play when docked, alternatively press the button on either the

HouseParty 4 or the remote control.

■ Use either the remote control or the buttons on the HouseParty 4 to navigate the iPod functions.

For use as a FM radio:

■ Press MODE on the remote control or the M button on the speaker to select radio mode.

■ Use the � and � buttons on the remote or the speaker to auto scan the frequency.

■ To manually scan the frequencies, gently tap the � and � buttons.

■ To save a pre-set frequency, adjust the radio

to your desired frequency then press the

MEM button on the remote, press ▲ and ▼ to select the preset number, press the MEM button to save.

■ To scan through the 10 pre-set stations use the ▲ and ▼ buttons.

For use with other audio devices:

■ Press MODE on the remote control or the

M button on the speaker to select AUX mode.

■ Plug a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) into your MP3 or MP4 player and connect the other end into the AUX port at the back of the unit.

■ Select the track and press play on your music source.

N.B. The remote will not control devices connected via 3.5mm cable.

EQ settings:

■ Press EQ on the remote to scroll through the equalisers – FLAT, JAZZ, POP, ROCK,

CLASSIC, BASS and OFF.

■ The default EQ mode is FLAT. The speaker will revert to this when powered on and off.

■ The speaker will use the last used EQ when switched on from standby.

UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION

Unpack your unit carefully. We recommend that you save the packaging in case you ever need to store your unit. To avoid damage, never place the unit or its batteries near radiators, in front of heating vents, under direct sunlight or near water.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

‒ When disconnecting the power supply, pull the plug first. Do not pull the cord by itself.

‒ Never handle the power plug with wet hands, as this could cause fire or electric shock.

‒ Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.

‒ Do not open the housing.

‒ Do not twist or pinch the power supply cord.

If the plug or power supply cord needs to be replaced, ensure that it complies with the manufacturer’s recommendation.

‒ Unplug the unit during lightning storms and when unused for extended periods of time.

Voltage’ within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute risk of electric shock to person.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instruction in the literature accompanying the appliance.

Начало работы:

■ Подключите сетевой кабель к разъему на задней панели устройства, затем воткните его в розетку.

■ Нажмите кнопку � на аудиосистеме или на пульте дистанционного управления.

Использование с iPod

■ Выберите и вставьте правильный док-адаптер, подходящий к Вашему iPod.

Во избежание повреждения док-коннектора следует использовать док-адаптеры.

■ Аккуратно вставьте iPod в док, HouseParty 4 автоматически переключится в режим iPod.

■ Если iPod уже включен в режиме проигрывания, то воспроизведение начнётся сразу же после его подключения к док-разъему. В противном случае нажмите на кнопку на HouseParty 4 или на пульте дистанционного управления.

■ Переключение функций iPod осуществляется с помощью пульта дистанционного управления или непосредственно кнопками на HouseParty 4.

Использование в режиме FM-радио

■ Для переключения в режим радио, нажмите кнопку MODE на пульте дистанционного управления, или кнопку M на аудиосистеме.

■ Сканирование частот осуществляется с помощью кнопок � и � на пульте дистанционного управления или аудиосистеме.

■ Чтобы просканировать частоты вручную, аккуратно нажмите кнопки � и �.

■ Чтобы сохранить определённую частоту, установите радио на эту частоту и нажмите кнопку MEM на пульте дистанционного управления, затем с помощью кнопок ▲ и ▼ выберете желаемый номер и снова нажмите MEM, чтобы сохранить установленные настройки

■ Для переключения между сохранёнными

10-тью станциями, используйте кнопки ▲ и ▼.

Использование с другими аудиоустройствами напр. с MP3-плеерами, CDплеерами, компьютерами

■ Переключитесь в режим AUX, нажав кнопку MODE на пульте дистанционного управления, или кнопку M на аудиосистеме

■ Подсоедините аудио-кабель 3.5мм (не входит в комплект поставки) к MP3- или

MP4-плееру, а другой конец подключите к

AUX-входу на задней панели устройства.

■ Выберите трек и нажмите кнопку воспроизведения на Вашем аудиоустройстве.

Внимание: Устройствами, подключёнными через кабель 3,5мм невозможно управлять с помощью пульта дистанционного управления

Настройки эквалайзера:

■ Нажимая EQ на пульте дистанционного управления, выберите режим эквалайзера

– FLAT (флэт), JAZZ (джаз), POP (поп),

ROCK (рок), CLASSIC (классика), BASS

(бас) и OFF (выкл.)

По умолчанию, эквалайзер установлен в режим FLAT. Аудио-система будет возвращаться в этот режим при каждом включении и выключении.

При включении с режима ожидания, аудиосистема будет возвращаться на последний установленный режим эквалайзера.

РАСПАКОВКА И УСТАНОВКА

Аккуратно распакуйте устройство. Мы рекомендуем сохранять оригинальную упаковку, на тот случай, если Вам придётся возвращать устройство назад в магазин. Чтобы избежать повреждений, не устанавливайте устройство или его аккумуляторы возле радиаторов, перед нагревательными приборами, под прямыми солнечными лучами или возле воды.

В ЦЕЛЯХ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ

‒ При отключении устройства от сети, вначале выдерните вилку из розетки. Не тяните за провод.

GEAR4 One-Year Warranty

Disruptive Limited, who owns the GEAR4 brand, warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials at the point of sale and that when this product is used in accordance with the instructions for its use it shall continue to be free from defects, for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

Any damage or defects caused by a failure to follow the instructions which relate to this product or as the result of an accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, product modification, faulty ancillary equipment, improper voltage or current, lightning or other acts of God, commercial non-home use, normal wear and tear, shipping damage or loss, damage to digital media players or damage caused by service performed by anyone other than Disruptive Limited are expressly excluded from the warranty stated above.

Disruptive Limited will, at its sole election, repair or replace any product that proves to be defective in either or both of workmanship or materials and which is covered by this warranty. If the product is no longer current or is out of stock, at its sole election, Disruptive Limited may replace your product with a similar product. Disruptive Limited’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement, of any defective product under warranty and any incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. This warranty is not transferable and does not extend to users other than the person who originally purchased the product.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights in addition to the ones afforded you by the laws of your country and nor is this warranty intended nor does it operate to limit such legal rights.
