Motivation for the original purchase of
AIM Command:
The “Round-Up” issue of controlling drift.
Dennis Engen often sprays soybeans right next
to corn and corn is sensitive to Round-Up
damage. Doug Schmitz first saw AIM
Command at a trade show. Later when
the Case IH salesman, Keith Findstrom,
did a field demo, Doug decided to purchase
AIM Command on a SPX4260.
Dennis went into AIM Command blind. His
first reaction was to feel a bit overwhelmed. It
was different, had a computer and was “hightech”! However, after the first 10 minutes of the
field demo, the “fear of the new” left and after
2 days of spraying, Dennis had developed a
sense of confidence in using AIM Command.
Now Dennis states that he would not buy
another sprayer without it.
“Due to windy conditions,
the state inspector shut down
my competition’s sprayers.
When she came to shut me down,
I demonstrated AIM Command
and my ability to reduce drift.
She let me keep running.”

After a season of use:
AIM Command did perform as expected.
With a proper selection of a spray tip, Dennis
used AIM Command to pick and maintain the
correct pressure to manage the droplet size
being sprayed. When he came to a drift
sensitive area, Dennis was able “toggle” to his
lower pressure setting, reduce the driftable
fines and yet maintain his rate and speed. This
season Doug has had no drift complaints
when Dennis sprayed alongside of corn.
Dennis cited one day last season, “Due to
windy conditions, the state inspector shut
down my competition’s sprayers. When she
came to shut me down, I demonstrated AIM
Command and my ability to reduce drift. She
let me keep running!”
Dennis also appreciates being able to spray
the right amount of GPA traveling at 2 mph or
12 mph. No more chemical over-applications
at the slower speeds; no more over-driving the
equipment to maintain pressure. With our other
sprayers you could be putting on as much as
45 GPA when coming out of the corners.
“It feels great to be able to spray anywhere
from 12-15 mph. In our other machines we
were running about 10 mph in order to keep
our pressure down. The increased speed has
made a big difference in our production.”
The fact that our spray pattern is so
consistent, independent of speed increases
my confidence that the job is being done right.
Doug’s advice to other managers:
1. In today’s world, technology like AIM
Command is a must. When you stop and
look at the bigger picture, it makes “dollars
and cents (sense, too)”. With today’s
application insurance and the crop damage
deductibles running at $5,000 per incident,
it doesn’t take long to see that AIM
Command is a good investment.
2. Use liquid AMS instead of crystals.
3. Operator comfort is key to productivity.
AIM Command is a great tool for the
operator. Doug’s operator picked it up
fast and it did make his job easier. The
SPX4260 has a world class cab, it’s quiet
and has great power. The SPX4260 with
AIM Command is the best machine on the
market, no question.
Dennis’s advice to other operators:
1. AIM Command is really self-explanatory
and easy to use. However, read the
operator’s book and get the training
that the Case IH distributor puts on.
Have your Case IH salesman demonstrate
it with you. It will boost your confidence
level and help you fully utilize AIM
Command’s potential.
2. Once you have it, you won’t want to go
without it. I don’t like using our other
sprayers anymore.

N-Ject™ NH3
How Does N-Ject™ Work?
N-Ject™ uses a specially designed manifold that condenses, meters, and distributes anhydrous ammonia, without the use of a pump, flowmeter, cooler, regulating valve or special ammonia tank. N-Ject™ pulses high-speed
solenoid valves to meter and distribute NH3 to each knife. The cold knife flow is routed back through the manifold
to cool the incoming ammonia. Since the cooled ammonia is in liquid form, the flow can be measured using pressure and temperature sensors. The flow measurement is sent to an electronic rate controller where the operator
calibrates the flow, width, and speed, and sets the target application rate. As the electronic rate controller requires
more or less flow, it sends a signal to the pulsing solenoid valves, which increase or decrease the pulse duty
cycle.
The N-Ject™ manifold is assembled by “stacking” solenoid valve sections together. Manifolds can be customized
for any size implement. Larger implements may use two manifolds,

How Do I Use It?
• PSI Mode - Select the desired spray pressure and SarpShooter will automatically maintain it, Consistently and
independently, as the spray controller controls the application rate.
• PWM Mode - Select the desired pulse rate, and SharpShooter will manually change the pressure range that the
spray rate controller operates within with a specific spray
nozzle.
• Off - Turn the SharpShooter off, and the SharpShooter
nozzle valves turn off & on with the sprayer’s boom control
switches. The spray rate controller will operate
normally.

EZ-Guide 250
The AgGPS EZ-GUIDE 250 SYSTEM is an entry level guidance system which is easy to use and most affordable. It has
a built-in high performance DGPS receiver with Trimble® OnPath® filter technology. Built in a rugged aluminum housing with
common-sense interface and a large 4.3” color screen, the EZGUIDE 250 system is easy to operate right out of the box. Plus,
you can upgrade to the EZ-Steer® 500 assisted steering system
for a total package.
The built-in GPS receiver provides submeter DGPS accuracy,
or you can upgrade to 6” to 8” passto-pass accuracy with optional AG15 antenna. Other features
include:
