What are lightweight panels?
Lightweight panels, also known as Honeycomb or Foam Core panels, consist of two thin
cover layers and a very light core layer.
What you will learn?
This seminar will provide insight into innovations related to lightweight panel use for the
wood products industry. Topics are: potential markets, manufacturing, assembly
techniques and challenges in innovation.
Who should attend?
Manufacturers of furniture, kitchen cabinets, doors and windows, particleboard,
cardboard products, lightweight materials, hardware suppliers, equipment manufacturers, trade associations, consultants, research and training centres, and government
representatives.
This is a first in North America!
This seminar is the product of an international collaboration between FPInnovationsForintek, the German technical magazine BM, and Martin Stosch, Professor and Director
of “lightweight.network”, a network dedicated to lightweight panels in Germany. This
collaboration led to the publication of a unique document on lightweight panels that will
be distributed to all seminar participants.
