Message from
Jamie Collingridge
Our focus this month is on English clocks from the ‘Golden Age’ of
English clockmaking. There will be fine examples by several of the
great makers – Thomas Tompion, Joseph Knibb and Daniel Quare –
in our 4 June sale at King Street. If you are interested in porcelain,
do have a look at the 2 June sale, which includes a very interesting and
unusual porcelain-cased musical clock by Rimbault.
And if you are looking for something altogether more flamboyant –
and certainly completely different from the aforementioned English
clocks – then take a look at the Cartier clock we will be offering in
New York on 10 June.
Wherever your tastes may lie, I hope you will enjoy our June selection.
Kind regards
Jamie Collingridge
