Login to the QCS PC
Open Internet Explorer
Open the QCS AXIS link in the Favorites bar with the room number you’d like to view
Click the Continue to this website (not recommended) link
Enter login credentials. Login again with the same credentials if re-prompted
This will open Live View mode, which shows the live video & audio feed from that room

button to mute the camera. It will change to
a. Audio recording is NOT affected if camera is muted.
b. You can simultaneously record from multiple cameras. Mute the audio on the other
browser tabs to isolate the sound to one camera. Do not change the Speakers
setting as it affects the volume of other software (e.g. Windows Media
Player)
9. To finish recording, click on

10. The recorded video files will be saved to the encrypted shared drive in \\doprsecure.dop.hawaii.edu\QcsRecordings\---NEW RECORDINGS--a. The shared drive is accessible from the QcsRecordings desktop shortcut, or the Q: drive
on the QCS PC
b. The shared drive is also accessible from the Queen’s Univ Tower 4th “QUT4” floor
conference room and LRC computers, so there is no need to transfer your files to a flash
drive or other media. From the QUT4 PC, open the QcsRecordings shortcut on the
desktop and login with your DOP email address and password. The open the video file.
c. If there are network issues preventing access to the shared drive, the video file will be
saved to My Documents > AXIS Media Control - Recordings
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
All video cameras are not accessible
You must use a DOP computer that is connected to the
UH Road Runner network.
Connect to the UH network by attaching a UH
designated Ethernet cable, or connecting to the “DOP4”
wireless router.
You have access to some video cameras,
but not all.
Go to the room with the non-working camera. Unplug
the power of the camera from the wall. Wait 5 seconds,
then plug it back in. It may take 1-2 minutes to reboot.
Try accessing the camera from the PC again.
Microphone is staticky or does not pick up
any audio
Replace the AAA battery in the Crown Soundgrabber II
microphone
Camera image is blurry
Go to the room with the non-working camera. Unplug
the power of the camera from the wall. Wait 5 seconds,
then plug it back in. It may take 1-2 minutes to reboot.
Try accessing the camera from the PC again.
Cannot find recorded video file in the
shared drive
Look in My Documents > AXIS Media Control –
Recordings folder. Then transfer your video to the Q:
shared drive
