HaiVision Makito Description
Highest Performance HD H.264 Encoder/Decoder The Makito™ HD H.264 encoder and decoder
support up to 1080p60 resolution and an incredible end-to-end latency of 70 milliseconds. Available
with SDI (SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, Composite, S-Video) or DVI (DVI, XGA, Component), the Makito
encoder addresses video over IP H.264 encoding anywhere on a resolution/bandwidth scale from
CIF from 150 kbps to full HD at 15 Mbps. As a perfect mate the to the Makito encoder, the Makito
decoder supports up to 3G-SDI and HDMI
Power Features Makito encoders can output a variety of stream types (Unicast/Multicast TS, RTSP,
RTMP) and multiple bitrates (HiLo-Streaming™) to various destinations concurrently, which allows
integrators to serve desktops, mobile devices, set-top boxes, signage players, recorders, and
streaming servers. The Makito also includes powerful media features such as snapshots, logo
application, and Selective Mute™ to enable complete control and identification of sources and
destinations directly from the encoder. The Makito is ideal for multi-channel enterprise IPTV
delivery, for HD signage deployments, and for mass HD distribution/ record environments such as
schools, medical facilities, stadiums, auditoriums, professional training, and simulation
environments.
Ultra-Compact Encoding For remote installations or headends, the Makito offers highly flexible
configurations. Available as an ultra compact appliance for single channel requirements, or within a
1RU (6 blades) or 4RU (21 blades) chassis for high-density encoding/decoding challenges, the Makito
uses 1/5 of the rack space with 1/10 the power, and delivers 2x the resolution of typical 1RU
encoders.

HaiVision Furnace Description
End-to-End IP Video System The Furnace™ IP video system provides a complete infrastructure for
delivering secure video to every desktop and display within an organization. With the Furnace you
can record any source, apply metadata, and deliver live or recorded content, or video on demand.
The Furnace allows administrators granular control over the media within a facility and a
harmonized experience for all users.
Easy on IT Thanks to the magic of the InStream™ player technology which works across all platforms
and requires no installation or client system upgrades, the Furnace requires minimal IT support.
Systems arrive pre-configured for the specific network conditions of an organization. Users simply
click a web link to view media.
End-to-End Secure System Furnace provides an easy-to-use, simple-to-deploy, end-to-end platform
uniting media streams from the encoder through to the viewing device and is unique in providing
AES encryption over multicast and full administrative control. Each user’s viewing experience is
tailored based on their authentication. With its Command and Control module, administrators have
full control over all InStream desktop players and Stingray set-top boxes, along with the ability to set
or modify each viewer’s experience either, “on-the-fly” or based on a preset schedule.
Moodle™ & BlackBoard® Integration Furnace now integrates with Moodle™ and Blackboard®, two
widely adopted learning/course management systems for the education sector. This enables

Simplicity for Corporate Networks CoolSign™ is is designed to make planning, scheduling,
distributing and monitoring media an easy, quick and accurate process. CoolSign combines
extremely powerful and field-proven administrative tools for control, automation, and data
integration with a simple, elegant, and device independent content management approach for local

Integrated Signage & Full Motion IP Video A basic challenge in most corporate and campus signage
networks is to incorporate live video content. The delivery of broadcast content as IP multicast
throughout a facility must adhere to the basic requirements of your content provider - usership
must be controlled and the content must be secure to prevent copying. CoolSign, integrated with

Datawatcher™ module. With Datawatcher you can assign vitually any source data to specific players

HaiVision DataWatcher Description
DataWatcher. The DataWatcher allows you to bring in data from virtually any source and have it
easily flow into your dynamic content templates. With security and manageability at the forefront,
DataWatcher allows administrators to reduce network configuration and immediately be alerted
when links to data sources are down.
Content Creator. The Content Creator tool provides the ability to layer and animate multiple media
assets and live data elements such as RSS feeds, POS data, databases of pictures, text, products and
more.
Standalone Systems. The CoolSign Standalone is a complete low-cost all-in-one digital signage
system. It is a hardware/software bundle combining a compact signage PC player with a CoolSign
server and a CoolSign player license
Network Server. At the heart of every system is a CoolSign™ Network Server. For larger networks,
CoolSign supports an n-tier architecture, enabled through CoolSign Transfer Servers and Site
Controllers – the key to scalability. The CoolSign server allows you to create the topology that runs
your network most efficiently.
CoolSign offers two player options: The CoolSign™ Display Engine providing broadcast-quality
playback of a wide range of media formats and dynamically rendered real-time data with advanced
