The Ideal Drive for Limited Space
The VLT MICRO is the perfect drive for anyone needing a small adjustable frequency drive in the 1/2 to 2 HP, 208/230 V AC or
1 to 3 HP, 460 V AC range. The VLT MICRO provides a stepless, sinusoidal three-phase output to the motor. Both single and
three-phase input models are available in the 200 through 240 volt unit. All units are UL listed, and all three-phase input units
are CE marked. The single phase 200 through 240 volt input units offer CE marking as an option. All units provide three-phase
output to operate standard induction motors.
A small footprint, sophisticated control and a user friendly keypad are only some of the many features of the VLT MICRO.
To top it off, they have excellent reliability and easy operation ... all at a low price!

Carrier frequency adjustable to 18 kHz for quiet operation.
Full continuous output is available for carrier frequencies

Programmable V/Hz for optimum operation with variable

Overload current — 150% of rated current for 1 minute.
Automatic voltage regulation changes output voltage in
response to load. Full voltage is always available for heavy
loads, but at light loads the voltage is reduced for highest
efficiency and coolest operation.
S-curve or linear accel and decel ramp profiles.
Three step-over frequencies.
Programmable offset and gain for easy adaptation to nonstandard speed reference signals.
Automatic synchronization with motor after momentary
power loss.
Parameter lock-out prevents unauthorized changes.

Easy to Program, Easy to Run
The digital keypad and display module is standard on every
VLT MICRO. This module has two functions, display and
control.
decimal point to the right. When the number would require
five digits, ten percent of the value is automatically displayed
and the decimal point is not shown.
Display shows the present status of the drive. The 7-segment
LED display can show output frequency, RPM, % of output
frequency, motor current, forward or reverse rotation, or a
custom unit. The custom unit is proportional to output
frequency. The drive’s intelligent display makes the optimum
use of the four large digits on the display. When the value
displayed is less than 1000, the actual value is shown with a
The control function encompasses operating the drive directly
from the keypad and programming advanced functions to
customize the drive for the precise needs of the application.
Manual speed can be controlled by either the “UP” and
“DOWN” arrows or the familiar rotary speed potentiometer. All
of the drive’s parameters can be accessed by a simple press
of the “MODE” key.

Pressing the “MODE” key displays the status of
the drive, including the reference frequency,
output frequency, or output current. It also
selects the programming mode.

when local control is utilized.

Pressing the “STOP/RESET” key stops the
drive when running under local control. It also
resets the drive after a fault has been cleared.

UP/DOWN
The “UP” and “DOWN” keys have a variety of
functions. When the drive is operating in local
speed control, these keys can be used to
increase or decrease the drive's speed. In
parameter access mode, these keys are used
to scroll through the list of parameters and
choose the one that is to be edited. In
parameter editing mode, the keys are used to
select the new value of the parameter.

LED Indicators
The four LEDs will light to indicate the current
operating status of the drive. The STOP LED
flashes when the drive is given a run
command signal, but the speed reference is
zero.

When the installation is to conform to UL requirements, the
following fuse must be installed in the input to the drive.
The power and control wire terminal blocks are located
behind the swing-out covers at the top and bottom of the

Warranty
Subject to the terms herein below set forth, Seller warrants the
VLT MICRO to be free from defects in material and workmanship
if properly installed and operated and maintained under normal
conditions of use and service, for 12 months from date of
shipment, not to exceed 18 months from date of manufacture.
If, within the warranty period, Seller receives from Buyer prompt
written notice of any claim of defect and if, in the Seller's sole
judgement, the Article is found to be defective in materials or
workmanship, Seller, at its option and expense, shall replace or
repair the defective Article. The Seller's obligation and Buyer's
exclusive remedy hereunder, shall be limited to such repair or
replacement. Buyer shall, at Seller's request, ship the Article to
the Seller, transportation charges prepaid.
In no event will the Seller's liability be greater in amount than the
purchase price of the Article, and Seller reserves the right to
satisfy its warranty obligation hereunder in full by reimbursing
the Buyer for all payments made to the Seller for the Article, and
the Buyer shall thereupon return the Article to the Seller.
This warranty shall not be effective if the Article has been subject
to overload, misuse, negligence or accident, nor if the Article has
been repaired or altered outside of Seller's factory or authorized
service station in any respect which, in Seller's judgment,
adversely affected its condition or operation. Products
manufactured by others and supplied by Seller as part of Seller's
Articles are not warranted by Seller, and Buyer's sole recourse
shall be under the warranty, if any, of such other manufacturer.
Fuses are warranted only when a defect or malfunction of the
Article or its components are found to be the cause of the fuse
failure.
THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER
EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MARKETABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, PERFORMANCE OR OTHERWISE. SELLER
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES,
