OPERATION AND INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS NO. 91 728.001
For your safety it is essential that the
following instructions are thoroughly
read and observed.
RECEIPT
Please check delivery immediately on receipt for accuracy and damage. If damaged,
please notify carrier and your supplier immediately. In case of delayed notification, any
possible claim may be void.
STORAGE
The place of storage must be waterproof,
vibration-free and free of temperature
variations. Damage due to improper transportation, storage or delay in putting into
operation are not liable for warranty.
OPERATION / USE
With the ZMEA module it is possible to
operate all units KWL 250.. (with exception
of the kitchen unit), KWLC 350 and KWLC
650 beginning with version 001 with external control signals. Additionally 3 operating
conditions can be monitored via the volt free
terminals.
ATTENTION:
The external triggering with the ZMEA
overrides the normal controller. The
normal controller (with or without a clock
KWL-WSU) cannot be operated at the
same time as the external triggering with
the ZMEA (switch S1 selects either the
ZMEA or the normal controller).
Control signals (input):
The control signals can be acheived with
volt free relays. The switching occurs with a
voltage of 24 V DC.
Terminal 1-2: must be linked!
Terminal 4-5: activates medium speed*.
Terminal 4-6: activates full speed *.
* Speed switching logic see ZMEA wiring
diagram!
Terminal 4-7: heater enabled (heater ON,
depending on desired value setting at the
potentiometer in the KWL-unit)
Terminal 9-8: To lower or raise required
temperature in the KWL-unit dial +- 15°C at
the potentiometer T1.
Terminal 9-10: To lower or raise required
temperature in the KWL-unit dial +- 15°C at
the potentiometer T 2.
Hereby can be worked with 3 desired values:
Terminal 8 and 10 not activated = desired
value 1
Terminal 8 activated = desired value 2
Terminal 10 activated = desired value 3
Status of ZMEA:
LED on = ZMEA ready
Status of unit (outputs):
Terminal 11-12, contact closed = ZMPA on
standby
Terminal 13-14, contact closed = alarm,
overheat thermostat with contacts, manual
reset required.
Terminal 15-16, contact closed = alarm,
filter dirty using duct sensor (DDS sensor
optional)
Potentiometer T1/T2:
Displacement of required temperature, see
terminal 9-8 and 9-10 at ZMEA.
Switch S1:
Switch to choose ZPEA or supplied controller. Switch not pressed = mode ZMEA
Another use is not possible
CONNECTION
All work may only be carried out by a qualified person.
All relevant national and international safety
and installation regulations are to be
adhered to
ATTENTION:
Electrical connection may only be carried
out with the equipment fully isolated from
the supply.
The cable entry happens via cable gland
(M20 x 1,5). A control input cable LiCY with
.. x 0,25 mm² can be used for the control
inputs (24V DC). The outputs are laid out
according to assigned switching voltage
(max.230V~). A cable with 8 x 0,25 mm² is
required for the data cable.
INSTALLATION
Flush mounted installation on an even
surface.
• Unscrew front cover.
• Fix in place lower part of casing.
• Insert electric connecting cables through
cable gland. Strip and wire to terminal
block in accordance with the wiring diagram.
• Test for leaks.
• Screw on front cover.
• Check operation.
