MANAGING CONTACTS
Contacts can be added manually (public) or by an
administrator (corporate).

administrator has restricted manual contact entry. This
is only applicable to corporate/public subscribers.
Adding a Contact
1
Go to the Contacts tab.
2
Select New Contact.
Corporate Contacts are managed by a corporate
administrator and are added directly into all of a
corporation’s PTT phones through the use of the
4G PTT Admin Tool. Corporate contacts cannot be
deleted or changed by the user of the device. For more
information, please see the 4G Push-to-Talk Admin
Tool User Guide.

Adding a Group

Remember:
A subscriber/contact must have the 4G PTT App open
on his/her device to be considered Available. If it is
closed, he/she will appear as Unavailable or Offline.
•• You cannot call a contact who has a Do Not Disturb
status. Instead, you can notify this individual
by sending him/her an Instant Personal Alert
(See: Sending Instant Personal Alerts, page 12).
•• If no action is taken by either the sender or receiver,
the call will be automatically disconnected after a
short time interval.
•• If the receiver does not speak during an individual call,
it will be considered a “Missed Call.”

and missed PTT calls and alerts; from here, you can also
initiate calls to individuals with whom you have recently
had contact.
1
Press and release the PTT Call button.
2
Scroll through the history; select an entry and press
the PTT Call button.

you can use the Instant Personal Alert (IPA) feature
to notify an individual that you wish to be contacted
by them.

press Alert (RSK).
3
A confirmation that the alert has been sent will appear
on the screen. The recipient of the IPA will be notified
that you want to speak with them; they can then press
the PTT Call button to connect with you when they
are available.
12
If you receive a PTT call while you are on a regular
phone call or another PTT call, you will receive a missed
call alert. Much like an Instant Personal Alert, you can
return the missed PTT call from the alert by selecting
the PTT button.
You can also opt to be notified of an incoming phone
call while on a PTT call. From the Home screen, select

have to worry about missing an important phone call.

your display name, contacts, groups, and more.
