platform. It is important to consider the difference between TDP and the likely power consumption that will
actually be seen on an AMD G-Series APU based design, when running an actual application. The

Features and Benefits
 The AMD Embedded G-Series platform delivers advanced graphics processing with support for
DirectX® 11 technology, OpenGL 4.0 and OpenCL™ in an integrated device. The 3D power
consumption test is representative of an application that aggressively taxes the GPU, CPU and a
portion of the I/O. Similar power may be seen with applications that fully leverage the parallel
processing capabilities of the APU.
 The third generation Universal Video Decoder block in the AMD G-Series APU is capable of decoding
high definition H.264, VC-1 and MPEG2 content. The video power consumption test is representative
of an application exercising the I/O to meet the high throughput requirements of HD video content while
leveraging the GPU to decode the video.
 The AMD G-Series APU leverages the “Bobcat” core which was built from the ground
up to deliver good performance at low power. The CPU power test is representative of
an application that is CPU intensive.
 The AMD Embedded G-Series platform is ideal for small form factor or portable
embedded applications.
