INSTALLING INSTALLING THE FILE ON THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM Once you have downloaded the Alert Zones file from the CITROËN website you must install it on the hard disk drive of your NaviDrive 3D navigation system (which contains the Europe digital mapping system required to guide you). To install your Radars file on your NaviDrive 3D, use either an SD card or a USB stick (preferably blank to avoid any potential recognition issues with the medium). After inserting the SD card or USB stick into your computer, select file (.exe): 1. Click on “Exécuter” (Run) or “Ouvrir” (Open), and this will call up a “Self-extracting Archive” window on your computer’s screen (see example on RH side). right of “Extract to” in order 2. Click on the button to select the SD card or USB stick you wish the data to be copied onto. 3. Click on “ Start”. To check that the copy has been successful, you may check the SD card or USB stick for the presence of the: - pkgdb folder (and subfolders) - config.nfm file. Once the data has been successfully copied you may remove the data medium from your computer and return to your vehicle to install the Alert Zones file on your NaviDrive 3D navigation system. August 2012 - 2 CITROËN ALERT ZONES INSTALLATION HANDBOOK NaviDrive 3D To install the Alert Zones file on your navigation system, connect the data medium as follows: - SD card: card card reader on NaviDrive 3D frontpanel - USB stick: stick port located under central armrest at the front Having done so you should then press the “NAV” key and select the following menus: - “ Navigation » - Then “Settings“ - and “Update personal POI“ Select the data medium you inserted in NaviDrive 3D and on which the Alert Zones file has been copied (USB stick in the example opposite). August 2012 - 3 CITROËN ALERT ZONES INSTALLATION HANDBOOK NaviDrive 3D Confirm installation of the Alert Zones file by clicking on “YES” (after reading the warning about erasing of previous data). File installation will only take a few seconds. Once installation is complete, a message will prompt you to confirm the restart of the navigation system. Your NaviDrive 3D will then ask you to eject the data medium (and only then). then) Confirm with “OK” once the operation has been completed. August 2012 - 4 CITROËN ALERT ZONES INSTALLATION HANDBOOK NaviDrive 3D 2. CONFIGURING RADAR WARNINGS ON THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM To configure warnings on your NaviDrive 3D navigation system, press the “ NAV” key and select the following menus: - “Navigation Menu” - Then “Settings” - Then “Set parameters for risk area” An information message will be displayed, confirm by clicking on “OK” once you have read it. August 2012 - 5 CITROËN ALERT ZONES INSTALLATION HANDBOOK NaviDrive 3D We recommend the following configuration: - Activate the display on the map - Activate visual alert on approach - Activate sound alert on approach With this configuration, you benefit from the following features: - Audio advance warning followed by audible warning (beep) when approaching a high-risk area - Visual warning: warning the navigation system screen displays the distance and the associated Citroën Alert Zone pictogram. The permitted speed limit is also displayed in the event of fixed speed cameras* These are the Citroën Alert Zone pictograms : Fixed speed camera*: Traffic light camera*: Entering a high-risk area*: The visual warning is only displayed on approach to the high-risk area. *Depending on the country’s legislation, information about fixed speed cameras and traffic light cameras may be prohibited; if this is the case, then only information about high-risk areas will be displayed.
