Before you start using your system, please read this manual carefully and follow the installation instructions. HyperMedia Center is an integrated multimedia application that allows you to enjoy all of your digital entertainment - TV, home videos and photos. HyperMedia Center is especially designed for turning your PC/Laptop into an entertainment solution. 2 Player Controls There are several methods to control HyperMedia Center • By Keyboard Control the application by using the Arrow keys, ESC, and Enter keys. • By Mouse Select items by left-click or scroll wheel. • By Remote Control (optional: depends on the model) Navigation Bar Return to Home page Return to previous page Minimize HyperMedia Center to the task bar. Adjust the display size Exit HyperMedia Center. 3 Chapter 1 : My TV HyperMedia Center is an all-in-one entertainment solution for the modern life. Now you can watch and record your favorite TV programs anytime you like. When you run HyperMedia Center for the first time, the setup wizard will guide you to configure the TV settings. 4 1.1 Setting Up Your PCTV Before you execute HyperMedia Center for the first time (using the icon on your desktop ), please connect your KWorld device to your computer. 1. When executing HyperMedia Center for the first time, please select Analog or Digital TV according to your device and click-on “Next” to continue. 2. Please select your current location and click-on “Next” to continue. 3. Please click-on “Scan” to start channel scanning. 5 4. When channel scanning is completed, your display window would show “Found XX Channels”. Please click-on “Next” to continue. 5. Your PCTV is now setup completely, please click-on Finish to exit the setup mode. 6 1.2 TV Control Bar Stop Pause Backward Forward Time-Shifting Capture Snapshot Teletext Subtitle Channel Preview SAP Previous Channel Next Channel Volume Down Mute Volume Up Switch Mode Switch Channel My Favorite Channel List Add into My Favorite Channel List Remove from My Favorite Channel List 1.3 Source Input Choose your TV signal source such as TV / Composite / S-Video. 7 8 1.4 Channel List It will assist you to select TV channel. 1.5 Schedule Schedule the recording of TV program. If you want to cancel a schedule, enter the Schedule and choose Cancel. 9 Source Input: Select your TV signal source. Channels: Choose the channel you want to record Scheduling Interval: Define the recording rules. The default value is "Once only". Starting Date: Set the recording date. Starting/Ending Time: Set the Time to start/end recording (hour/minute). 1.6 TV Settings Adjust TV signal, recording and display settings here. Run Setup Wizard: Run Setup Wizard is an easy setup function. It can help you to complete the overall settings of TV function including TV tuner, region and automatic scan of TV channels. 1.6.1 Edit Channels You may edit the Channel Names according to your preference. 1. Please select the channel you would like to personalize: Delete Channels, Rename Channels, Add/Delete My favorite, and Change Channel Numbering. 10 Please click-on to add channels into My Favorite Channel List. 2. When a channel has been added on to My Favorite Channel List, the Star sign would appear beside the channel you have selected. 3. Please select “Yes or No” to exit the pop-up Window. 4. To see all of the channel listing, please make sure the Icon should be shown as . 5. To see “My Favorite Channel Listing”, please click-on icon (which would turn into 11 .) Pointers: You may add new channels into My Favorite Channel Listing by clicking on this icon panel or this icon on the TV control to remove from the listing. 1.6.2 Recording Settings Configure the recording format Analog:MPEG 1/2/4, MPEG4 (PSP/iPod/Dvix), H.264, H.264 (PSP/iPod), MPEG4 (PSP), MPEG4(iPod) Digital:Recording format depend on source format. 1.6.3 Display Settings Adjust the display settings (Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Sharpness or default setting) 12 1.6.4 Extra Display Settings Extra Display Settings: Adjust the display aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9, 16:10) Extra Display Settings: De-noise function for Analog TV. Open it will improve Analog TV quality. 1.7 EPG EPG (Electric Program Guide) allows you to receive the information for each channel. 13 Chapter 2 : My Videos In the Videos page, you can play video files stored in your computer. 2.1 Recording Videos: Play the video files in a specific folder. 14 2.2 More Videos HyperMedia Center is also applicable for playing other video files. 2.3 Settings Create a specific folder to save recorded video files. 15 2.4 Video Control bar Backward Pause Forward Stop 16 Chapter 3 : Pictures In My Pictures page, you can view pictures stored in any folder. 3.1 Snapshot Pictures Click Snapshot Pictures button to review the picture files you captured. In addition, you can also check pictures in the slideshow mode. 3.2 More Pictures Show other picture files in your computer. 17 3.3 Settings In Settings, you can create a specific folder to save pictures. Meanwhile, the timeframe of Slideshow can also be set in this option. Besides you can set multi-snapshot pictures from 1 to 10 in “Total pictures” option, and set “Time interval” from 0.2sec to 10sec. 3.3.1 SlideShow Interval Configure the interval : 1sec , 3 sec , 10sec or 30sec 18 3.3.2 Format of snapshot picture Please select your favorite format: BMP or JPEG 3.3.3 Total Pictures Configure Multi-Snapshot pictures: From 1 picture to 100 pictures 3.3.4 Time interval Configure Multi-Snapshot interval: From 0.2sec to 10 sec 19 3.4 Picture Control bar Stop Backward Forward Slideshow 3.5 Changing Your HyperMedia Center Skin Edit and transform the pictures you have taken to your HyperMedia Center. 1. Please select the background photo you would like to use. 20 2. Please click on the “Stop” button on the bottom left corner. 3. Please click-on “Background Setting” 4. You have now completed personalizing your HyperMedia Center. 21 Chapter 4 : Radio (Please note this function is only offered by some specified KWorld products. Use HyperMedia Center to listen to FM Radio programs (Products has to be with FM function). Before listening, please make sure the FM Antenna has been plugged in. 4.1 Channel List It provides a channel list for you to select the preferred FM program. 4.2 Schedule Schedule allows you to schedule the recording of FM program. You can set up a new schedule to record the FM program, or choose Cancel if you wish to call off the recording request. 22 4.3 Settings In Radio, it allows you to choose saving destination of the FM recording files. More than that, you can also set up the recording format and channel scanning in this option. 4.3.1 Recording Format Configure the recording format: WAVE or WAM 4.3.2 Scan Interval Configure scan channel interval: 0.1 MHz or 0.05 MHz. 23 FM RDS function: Click the right mouse button and it will pop-up a small window. Select “RDS on” and click left mouse button to enable RDS function. 24 4.4 Radio Control Bar Stop Pause Backward Forward Capture Tune Downward Last receivable FM Station Memorize FM Station Next receivable FM Station Tune upward Last Preset FM Station Next Preset FM Station Mute Volume Up Volume Down 25 Chapter 5 :Musics 5.1 Recorded Audio You may playback any recorded audio from the FM radio or others in WAVE/WMA format. 5.2 More Music You may playback any music already collected in your computer. 26 Chapter 6 :Settings Click Home Page to open the HyperMedia Center Setting menu. Here you can find the general settings for HyperMedia Center software, and duplicated control settings for other options such as TV, Videos , and Radio. 6.1 TV Please refer to the setting description in TV section 6.2 Videos Please refer to the setting description in Video section 6.3 Pictures Please refer to the setting description in Picture section 6.4 Radio Please refer to the setting description in Radio section 27 6.5 General Settings In General Settings, there are many options for you to choose: Multi-Language Option: English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Polish, Czech, Dutch, Greek, Farsi, Serbian, Romanian and Turkish, Multi-language to meet your need. Change Theme: You may use this function to change the color tone on the HyperMedia Center skin. Background: You may use this feature to Enable or Disable the Background you have selected for the HyperMedia Center. Change Font Color: 8 vivid backgrounds for you to select.
