THE CRF DIFFERENCE
Honda has always led the
made of. About who has the skill, the guts,
way in technology, and there’s no better example
the drive, the determination, the hunger. About
of that than the new Honda Progressive Steering
Damper™ (HPSD™ ) found on our new CRF ®450R,
CRF250R and CRF450X. Unlike aftermarket
who wants it more than anyone else, and about
who has what it takes to feed that hunger. If
dampers that are primarily for high-speed
conditions, the HPSD is designed for far more.
Mounted behind the front number plate, it allows
our engineers to use less fork offset. It’s also
progressive, so it acts like a rising-rate suspension, offering more damping force as the steering
deflects further from center. The HPSD means
your new bike is going to feel more planted in the
turns, more precise. And that means you can
corner faster in dry, hard-packed conditions.
You’ll ride with more confidence and less fatigue.
And remember, races are won and lost in the turns.
you’ve got it, you’ll know it. Do you?

The choice of champions. The choice of privateers.
The only choice when you want to win. Bat tle-proven.
When the gate drops, make sure you’re on a winner.

CRF450R
It’s the machine just about everyone in the indus-
try agrees is the best in its class. And this year we’ve given
it some advantages nobody can touch. First, there are the
things you can easily see—like the new, works-style brake
rotors. Then there’s the stuff you can feel, like the new frame
geometry (new fork offset, new trail figures and a shorter
wheelbase), all designed to work with the new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD). A new black box features
three separate ignition maps: one for first, one for second,
and one for third through fifth gear, so you get the kind of
power you need where you need it. And if you’re after a fresh,
new look, there’s even a version in Black with special graphics.
It all adds up to what is unquestionably the most advanced
motocross bike we’ve ever built: the 2008 CRF450R.

Races are won in the corners—there’s no doubt about that. Like the new CRF450R, the

2008 Honda CRF250R features Honda’s revolutionary new HPSD. Light and simple, it helps the rider
hold his line in corners, improving cornering traction and handling. On top of that, the CRF250R also

CRF150R
We knew Honda’s CRF150R was going to be a big
hit—after all, even our test riders were fighting over who got
to ride this bike. But it’s proven to be more than just popular—it’s a revolution in the minicross class. Features like its
Unicam engine are a big reason. But mostly it’s because
we’ve packed big-bike performance, handling and quality
into a smaller package. Fully adjustable suspension front
and rear, naturally, and a removable subframe too.
We even build the CRF150R in two sizes: one with a 17-inch
front wheel and a 14-inch rear, and our Expert model for taller riders with a 19-inch /16-inch combo, a slightly higher seat
and a slightly longer swingarm. Roll one up to the gate, and
the only race will be to see who comes in second.
CRF150R
CRF450X
What a genius idea: Just take a CRF/R
CRF450X
Unicam engine, give it an electric starter, tune it
for more than just the motocross track, build a
special chassis for it, and turn it loose on the offroad-racing circuit. And check out the results: Baja
champion in every race it’s entered. An impressive
list of other off-road wins and championships. This
year we’ve added the Honda Progressive Steering
Damper, along with chassis tweaks similar to our
CRF450R’s. In the engine department, the 450X
gets a new carburetor pump, for instant throttle response, and a new, slimmer fuel tank.
CRF250X
The perfect balance of power, han-
dling, weight and size—that’s the CRF250X. Electric start, Unicam engine, aluminum frame and
premium suspension. New ignition timing this year
along with new brake rotors and a new fuel tank
make this awesome off-road machine even better.

Rewards contingency program.
BE A RESPONSIBLE RIDER
Always wear a
helmet, eye protection and protective clothing
whenever you ride. Never ride under the influence
of drugs or alcohol. Inspect your motorcycle
before riding and read your owner’s manual.
Check your HRCA guide or log on to the HRCA
website (hrca.honda.com) for information
concerning reimbursement through the Honda
Rider’s Club of America for Motorcycle Safety
Foundation (MSF) rider training.
Remember, Honda CRF/R models are designed exclusively for off-road operator-only use in
organized, closed-course racing events. CRF/X models are designed exclusively for off-road,
operator-only use. Whenever you ride off-road, make sure you follow all the “TREAD LIGHTLY”
guidelines, and always stay on established trails in approved areas. Keep your riding areas clean,
use common sense, and respect the rights of others. Operating your motorcycle with a modified
engine, exhaust system or noise-control system may be illegal. Always obtain written permission
before riding on private lands, and obey all the laws and regulations governing your riding areas.
