DECLARACIÓN FCC

CApÍTuLo 1: INTRoDuCCIÓN

1.1 DEsCRIpCIÓN DEL pRoDuCTo

El Switch de Approx APPSW16 (16-Port 10/100M Fast Ethernet Switch) posee16 puertos RJ45 Autonegociación a 10/100Mbps. Todos los puertos admiten función Auto MDI/MDIX, eliminando la necesidad de cables o puertos Uplink. El Switch es Plug-and-Play (no necesita configuración) y cada puerto puede ser usado como puerto general o puerto Uplink, pudiendo ser simplemente conectados a un servidor, un hub, un switch, un router, etc., utilizando un cable directo o un cable cruzado.

El Switch APPSW16 le proporciona un bajo coste, facilidad de uso, alto rendimiento, y le permitirá convertir su antigua red en una red de 100Mbps.

Mejorará el rendimiento de su red hasta transmisión de datos Full Duplex.

Todos los puertos pueden operar a la máxima velocidad posible (Wire-

CApÍTuLo 2: INsTALACIÓN

2.1 MoNTAJE DEL swITCh EN EsCRIToRIo

Para instalar el Switch, por favor, siga estos pasos:

1) Coloque el Switch en una superficie plana o en una pared vertical, si desea colgarlo.

2) Examine cuidadosamente el adaptador de corriente y asegúrese de que está conectado correctamente a una fuente de energía.

3) Asegúrese de que el Switch dispone de espacio suficiente alrededor para una adecuada ventilación.

Nota: Evite colocar objetos pesados sobre el Switch.

2.2 ENCENDIDo

Cuando encienda el Switch se iniciará automáticamente y sus indicadores

LED harán lo siguiente:

1) Todos los indicadores LED Link/Act parpadearán momentáneamente, lo cual indica que el sistema se ha puesto en funcionamiento de nuevo.

2) El indicador LED powER se mantendrá encendido continuamente.

• LED POWER (de encendido): este indicador se iluminará cuando el

Switch se encienda. Si no se ilumina, por favor, compruebe el adaptador de corriente y la conexión.

• 1-16 LEDs: Cada indicador LED se encenderá cuando se haya conectado un dispositivo a su correspondiente puerto. Parpadeará cuando se estén transmitiendo o recibiendo datos.

ChApTER 1. INTRoDuCTIoN oF ThE pRoDuCT

1.1 ovERvIEw oF ThE pRoDuCT

APPSW16 16-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch provides 16

10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports. All ports support Auto MDI/

MDIX function, eliminating the need for crossover cables or Uplink ports.

The Switch is Plug-and-Play and each port can be used as general port or

Uplink port and can be simply plugged into a server, a hub, a switch or a router and so on, using straight cable or crossover cable.

The APPSW16 Switch provides you with a low-cost, easy-to-use, highperformance, seamless and standard upgrade to improve your old network to a 100Mbps network. They will boost your network performance up to full duplex data transfer. Its wire-speed switching that forwards packets can be as fast as the speed that your network delivers those packets to them.

ChApTER 2. INsTALLATIoN

2.1 MouNTINg ThE swITCh oN A DEsk

To install the Switch, please follow the steps:

1) You can place the Switch on a flat table or a vertical wall if you want to hang the Switch.

2) Please inspect the Power Adapter carefully and make sure that it is properly connected to a power source.

3) Ensure adequate ventilation space around the switch for dissipating heat and air.

Note: Please avoid any heavy thing placed on the switch.

2.2 powER oN

Powering on the Switch, it will automatically initialize and its LED indicators will respond as follows:

1) All of the Link/Act LED indicators will flash momentarily, which represent a resetting of the system.

2) The Power LED indicator will light all the time.

Note: If the LED indicators don’t respond as described above, please check the power supply and its connection.

3.2 REAR pANEL
