Welltech WellGate 3804A, 2540 FXO Gateway Application note

WellGate 3804A ( 4-FXO ) and WellGate 2540 (4-FXO gateway) in Peer to Peer mode with Hotline by port to port application.

Note :

Please use Windows XP IE 6.0 web browser or above version to configure both

FXO and FXS gateway webpage setting. Welltech products don’t support other

Web Browser such as FireFox to configure.

Here is a typical diagram of this application at Figure 1.

Before start to configure of both FXO gateway, we have assigned the following parameters to both devices as follows. Please note that both IP addresses at FXO gateway’s WAN port should be able to see each other. Both FXO gateway CAN NOT install behind Router or Firewall or IP Sharing.

WellGate 2540 (4-FXO Gateway ) information :

IP address : 192.168.18.30

SIP Trunk number : 1005

FXO Telephone Number : 1001, 1002, 1003 and 1004

WellGate 3804A (4-FXO Gateway ) information :

IP address : 192.168.18.220

FXO Telephone Number : 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004

For WellGate 3804A configuration

Step 1: Configure static IP address to WellGate 3804A, like below Figure 2.

For example: Set static IP address of 192.168.18.220 at WAN port on Network

Step 2: Set SIP information on SIP Config.

Selected Mode to Proxy after enters Primary Proxy IP Address and port. (See figure 3).

The Proxy IP address and port needs to set WG2540’s IP address and port

For example: there IP Address and port is 192.168.18.30 and 8080.

Enter the line 1 to line 4 numbers.

For example: There are 2001 to 2004.

Press OK button.

Step 3: Set Hotline numbers for line 1 to line 4. (see figure 4)

For example: there are set WG2540’s line 1 to line 4 numbers for 1001 to

1004.

Step 4: Set RTP Payload Type to 101 or to match as WG2540’s payload type.

WellGate 2540 (FXO Gateway) configuration

Step 1: set static IP address to WellGate 2540 FXO gateway’s WAN port as following picture. For example: Set static IP address 192.168.18.30 on Device Setting

Step 2: Set the FXO SIP line’s information to each line.

Go to FXO Setting webpage of WellGate 2540 FXO Gateway and configure each line by selecting Line ID from 1 to 4. See Figure 7 and Figure 8. Enable Hotline

feature by selecting Incoming Call Handling to Hot Line and give remote WellGate

3804A FXO gateway port 1 number to 2001. Enter the numbers of TEL No 1001 to

1004 from port 1 to port 4 .

For example:

WG2540 port 1 number 1001 hotline to remote WG3804A port 1 number 2001 directly.

WG2540 port 2 number 1002 hotline to remote WG3804A port 2 number 2002 directly.

WG2540 port 3 number 1003 hotline to remote WG3804A port 3 number 2003 directly.

WG2540 port 4 number 1004 hotline to remote WG3804A port 4 number 2004 directly.

Step 3: Set the SIP Trunk information to WellGate 2540 by going to SIP Trunk 

Modify SIP Trunk webpage. See Figure 9

1. Select Register Type to predefine and key in the Proxy Server IP address at

192.168.18.220 and port 5060 which are remote WG3804A Gateway’s IP

address and SIP port number.

2. Next, configure a SIP Trunk number, user ID, password and display name to SIP

Trunk as following examples. See Figure 10.

Enter SIP Trunk #1 information as follows.

TEL No : 1005

User ID : 1005

User password: 1005
