Frequently asked questions

You can power the touch screen using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a separate AC power adapter. However, do not use the AC power adapter if you are also using PoE.

You can connect the touch screen to your HomeSeer system via a network connection. If your home network supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), you can accomplish this with one run of PoE-enabled CAT5 cabling. Alternatively, you can use the enclosed AC power adapter and a separate run of CAT5 cabling.

First, cut a rectangular hole in your wall that is just large enough to accept the black plastic case of the unit. Then, run the necessary cabling inside the wall to your touch screen unit. Once you've powered the unit and connected it to your home network, you can secure it to the wall by slipping the unit into the rectangular hole until the mounting flange is flat against the wall. Then, use a Philips screw driver to turn the mounting wing bolts until the screen is held snugly against the wall.
