Installing your Zebra LP 2844 P
This document will guide you through the steps needed to install your Zebra LP
2844 P.
Before you attempt to install the printer you must have privileges allowing you to
install the printer on your machine, your companies support logon information,
and login information for RetailiQ.
Connect the printer to the computer with a printer cable. Turn the printer on and
ensure that it has labels.
Step 1.
Download the Zebra LP 2844 driver.
To download the Zebra LP 2844 driver, go to http://support.retailiq.com and
logon using your companies support logon information. If you do not know the
logon information please contact your manager. If your manager does not know
the logon information have them call iQmetrix Client Services at 888-888-8170.
Once you are logged onto the support site go to the Downloads section and
choose Printers. Find and download labelprinter.zip to your desktop. When the
file is downloaded create a folder on your desktop and extract the ZIP file to it.

Step 2.
Install the driver.
To install the driver go to Start > Printers and Faxes.
Click Add a printer in the side window.

The Add Printer Wizard will begin. Click Next.
The printer is a local printer, click Next.

The computer will now be unable to detect the printer. Click Next to install the
printer manually.
Select the port the printer is connected to and click Next.

Click Have Disk

Browse to the folder you extracted on your desktop and select OEMSetup. Click
Open.
Click OK.

Select the driver for the Zebra LP 2844 and click Next.
If you would like to change the Name of the printer do so now. Select No so that
the printer will not be the default printer.

Select Do not share this printer and click Next.
Driver installation is now complete, click Finish.

Step 3.
Selecting the paper size.
Go to Start > Printers and Faxes.
Right click the Zebra LP 2844 icon. Select properties.

Select the Advanced tab and click Printing Defaults.

Click the Paper Size drop down box and select a paper size of Label 2.25 x 0.75.
Click OK.
Click OK on the Printing Defaults window.

Click OK on the Zebra LP 2844 Properties window.
Step 4.
Setting up RetailiQ with your new printer.
Run RetailiQ and enter your logon information.
Select Tools > Work Station Setup.

Click the Printer tab and select the drop down arrow under Label Printer. Select
the Zebra LP 2844 from this list.
At this time you can click the test printer button located in the Label Printer
section. If the printer has been correctly installed it will print “This is a test”.
Click Save and Close at the top of the Work Station Setup window to complete
installation.
