GPRS Settings

The following details how to set up most Nokia mobile phones with ‘yes’ Info WAP Plus.
Process
1
Activating Optus
Pre-provisioned
GPRS settings
Description
1. Press the [Menu] button
2. Scroll to Services and press [Select] button
3. Scroll to Settings and press [Select] button
4. Select Active Service Settings and press [Select] button
5. Select the pre installed profile yesinfo WAP or Optus
Zoo
6. Press the [Red Handset] button (the hang-up button) to
return to the main screen.
7. To connect to Optus Zoo hold down the [0] button.

Requesting an
OTAP
1. Press the [Menu] button
2. Scroll to Messages and press [Select] button
3. Scroll down to Write message and press the [Select]
button
4. Enter the message set nokia gprs and press the [Green
Handset] button
5. Enter the number 8888 and press the [OK] button
6. This will send an SMS. Now wait.
7 An SMS should now be received titled ‘Service

8. Press the [Options] button and scroll down to Save and
press the [Select] button
9. If you are prompted with ‘Memory Full. Replace set?’
Press the [OK] button, followed by [Select] then [OK]
10. Press the [Red Handset] button (the hang-up button) to
return to the main screen.
11. To connect to Optus Zoo hold down the [0] button.

2. Press [Select] button and scroll to Settings Option
3. Press [Select] button and scroll to Edit Active Settings
4. Press [Select] button and Settings will appear
5. Enter yesinfoWAP and press [OK] button
6. Scroll to Homepage and press [Select] button
7. Enter http://networker.optus.net.au/wap/index.wml and
press [OK] button

For “/” (slash) press [*] button and scroll to /

and scroll to Session Mode and press [Select]

1. Scroll to Temporary and press [Select] button

3. Highlight Off and press [Select] button
4. Scroll to Data Bearer and press [Select] button
5. Highlight GPRS and press [Select] button
6. Scroll to GPRS Connection and press [Select] button

7. Highlight ‘When needed’ and press [Select] button
8. Scroll to GPRS Access Point and press [Select] button
9. Enter wap.optus.net.au
10. Scroll to the IP Address and press [Select] button

11. Enter IP Address 202.139.083.152 and press [OK]

Name
1. Scroll to Authentication Type and press [Select] button
2. Highlight Normal and press [Select] button
3. Scroll to Login and press [Select] button
4. Highlight Automatic and press [Select] button
5. Scroll to User Name and press [Select] button
6. Enter Mobile Voice number (I.e. 614xxxxxxxxx) and
press [OK] button
Note: No Password is required

Appearance
1. Press [Back] button
2. Scroll menu Appearance Settings and press [Select]
button
3. Highlight Text Wrapping and press [Select] button
4. Highlight On and press [Select] button
5. Highlight Images and press [Select] button
6. Highlight Yes and press [Select] button
7. Press [Back] button
