NAS Share Access - AD users
How to Manage Share Access for Users inside Active Directory
Join NAS to AD
1. Setup Network, Domain, DNS Suffix, DNS Server
2. Setup ADS

3. Check AD accounts and groups
Mount RDX or create Share folders
4. Mount RDX

5. Share Folder “RDX_Recorder” and other Share Folders
Assign Permission to AD Users
6. To assign RDX_Recorder share folder permission to AD users, select
RDX_Recorder share folder and Edit.

7. In Privilege tab, add AD accounts or groups in the right column, and edit
Write access or Read-Only (no check mark in Write option) access. Save.
8. To assign permission to AD users for other share folder, select the other
share folder and Edit.

9. In Privilege tab, add AD accounts or groups in right column, and edit Write
access or Read-Only access (no check mark in Write option). Save.
10.Connect to share folder using either IP or NAS hostname (if DNS is setup).

11.Use AD account and password to login to share folder. Format of user
name is “Domain-Name\AD-User-Name”.
