UDM-RC05
Overview
The UDM-RC05 (FG1402-70) is an IR remote control unit designed to
communicate with UDM receivers and provide initial set up and configuration of
the UDM system. It provides simple and convenient source, channel, and
volume control, as well as buttons used with common third-party set top box
menu systems.
Multi-Format IR Remote Control
The UDM-RC05 has 43 buttons available, all of which can be mapped to the IR
codes indicated in the following table:

Using the UDM-RC05 for Video Compensation

The UDM-RC05 can also be used with UDM-RX02N receivers for video
compensation (FIG. 2):

(available at www.amx.com).

Note: In order to use the UDM-RC05 to compensate video on the UDM-RX02N,
the RX02N must be set to the AMX remote, via the "RP" command (see below).

Enter setup mode - press MENU, then AMX

Device SEND_COMMANDS are sent to Port 1 on the UDM-RX02N.

“RP” SEND COMMANDs (UDM-RX02N)
"'RP<P#>'"
The Rx can support a number of different remotes which
are mapped through to button pushes
Sets the protocol
used by the IR remote. Syntax:
SEND_COMMAND <DEV>, "'RP<P#>'"
Variables:
• P#:
"ENDELEO", "AMX", "SKY", "TIVO", "DIRECTV",
"MIOR1", "MIO", "RC02", "RC05"
Example:
SEND_COMMAND dvRX, "'RPRC05'"
Configures the Rx to use an AMX remote.
The available remotes are:
• ENDELEO, RC02 - grey 33 button or 13 button remotes
• AMX, RC05 - beige 43 button
• SKY - Sky satellite remote
• TIVO - standard Tivo remote
• DIRECTV - standard DirecTV remote
• MIOR1 - AMX R1 remote
In all the above cases, the push and release codes are
endeleo codes.
MIO - AMX R1 remote - this setting uses all 255 push/
release codes.
"'?RP'"
The Rx can support a number of different remotes which
are mapped through to button pushes.
Returns the protocol
used by the IR remote. Syntax:
SEND_COMMAND <DEV>, "'?RP'"
Example:
SEND_COMMAND dvRX, "'?RP'"
The port would respond with RP-ENDELEO.
