Residential Intercom System Outdoor Station
The Outdoor Station is just one of a series of contractor-friendly
operational components that combine to provide a flexible feature
set that can be quickly adapted to a home owner’s specific needs.
APPLICATION
The Outdoor Station provides the user outdoor interface for
Leviton’s Residential Intercom System. It is designed for exterior
mounting. Once the call button is activated, all phones in the house
will ring with a distinctive ring that indicates an incoming intercom
communication. A full duplex speaker is incorporated that allows
conversation with whoever responds by picking up a phone. One is
shipped with the Main Controller Board Kit (Cat. No. 47000-MKB),
located in the Structured Media Center (SMC) to which it is
connected over Cat 5e UTP cabling. Additional stations can be
added for larger installations.
FEATURES
• Outdoor Station includes back box and screwless wallplate
• Designed to easily fit within a standard dual gang box or low
voltage ring
• Connects via IDC punchdown to the interface board included in
Main Controller Board Kit (47000-MKB).
• It can serve as one of a maximum of 12 intercom stations that
can be attached to the system in 4 zones
• Activation of the call button on an outdoor station causes a
distinctive ring to sound at all connected phones in the house;
pick up phone to answer.
• An installed door chime can be made to sound when Outdoor
Station is activated if used in conjunction with the Door Chime
Board
• Outdoor Station speakers can be used to monitor individual
zones remotely from any phone in the house for added security
• Outdoor Station speakers can also be used to broadcast a
message from any phone.
• Outdoor Stations can operate at up to a maximum of 4000’
from the Structured Media Center (SMC)
• Offers feedback adjustment capabilities
• The Outdoor Station’s speaker/microphone can be used upon
activation to receive an answering machine auto-answer message
and to leave a message such as when homeowner is away
