TRANSITION — ua READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THE CORRECT USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THIS PRODUCT IS ESSENTIAL. WARNINGS e Do not leave occupant of stroller unattended. e Follow the manufacturers instructions. e Ensure your child is secured with a correctly adjusted safety harness. e Do not carry additional children or bags on the stroller. e Do not allow children to stand on the seat. e Do not hang bags or goods from the handle as this could cause the stroller to tip over. e Do not place more than 4kg in the basket, or 1kg in the canopy pocket (if supplied). e The weight of the child using this product should not exceed 17kg. * Do not use accessories other than those supplied and approved by Britax. e When making adjustments to the stroller, ensure that you and your child's body are clear of any moving parts on the stroller. e Always apply all of the brakes when parking the stroller. e Check that all safety locks are engaged before placing a child in the stroller e Always raise the leg support (where fitted) to its highest position when transporting a baby. This will reduce the risk of the baby falling out through the front of the stroller. e Remove the child from the stroller before going up or down stairs and escalators. ® To prevent the risk of the stroller catching fire, do not park it near a radiator, an open fire or a barbecue. e Do not lift the stroller by the arm bar. It may disengage. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL USE RECOMMENDATION Some strollers have backrests adjustable between an upright and reclined position. The upright positions are not suitable for use with children less than six months old. As a guide, the lowest recline position should be used to transport babies, the backrest can be adjusted to a more upright position as the child grows older and is able to support its head without assistance. SAFETY WARNING The sun is very strong. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD EXPOSED TO THE SUN. The canopy or hood on this product will not give your child total protection from the harmful rays of the sun. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Regularly inspect and maintain your stroller to ensure the freedom of movement of the locking devices and security of components. To prolong the life of your nursery product keep it clean and do not leave it in the direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Removable fabric covers and trims may be cleaned using warm water with a household soap or a mild detergent. Allow it to dry fully, preferably away from the direct sunlight. HELPFUL HINTS If the wheels squeak - use a silicon based spray or light oil ensuring it penetrates the wheel and axle assembly. When using your stroller at the beach - completely clean your stroller afterwards to remove the sand and salt from the mechanisms and wheel assemblies. If there are compression marks on the tyres - use a domestic hair dryer to gently warm the tyre and the compression marks should slowly disappear. (DO NOT OVERHEAT). DO NOT DRY CLEAN, OR USE BLEACH. Do not machine wash, tumble or spin dry, unless the care labelling on the product permits these methods. Non removable fabric covers and trims may be cleaned using a damp sponge with soap or mild detergent. Allow it to dry completely before folding or storing it away. In some climates the covers and trims may be affected by mould and mildew. To help prevent this occurring, do not fold or store the product if it is damp or wet. Always store the product in a well ventilated area. Always check parts regularly for tightness of screws, nuts and other fasteners - tighten if required. To maintain the safety of your nursery product, seek prompt repairs for bent, torn, worn or broken parts. Use only those parts and accessories approved by Britax. Release both buckles and the zip, then place the cosy footmuff into the stroller. Pass the straps located at the top of the cosy footmuff through the holes in the top of the backrest and secure using the D-rings, ensure to adjust the height of the cosy footmuff so the harness slots align with harness straps. Pass the harness shoulder straps, waist straps and crotch straps through the slots in the cosy foot muff. Refer to section 8 to secure your child in the harness. When child is secured in the harness, apply the cosy footmuff zip and buckles. Lay the chassis down flat and release the frame lock catch. Adjust the handle to the user upright position by simultaneously pressing the red buttons on the inside of the handle. Grasp the handle and lift upwards allowing the chassis to extend and click into position. Check the stroller is ready for use by lifting the handle - the stroller should not collapse. When using the bassinette, check if it is secure by lifting the handles - the bassinette should not disengage from the Stroller. The two hooks located on the front underside of the bassinette must engage with the stroller rear support bar WARNING: Do not lift stroller by bassinette. Push each rear wheel into the chassis until they lock into position. Store the bassinette handles inside the zipped pockets and fold the bassinette canopy back towards the rear of the bassinette. (For a more compact fold it is optional to release the bassinette frame rods towards the middle of the bassinette and push lightly down until the bassinette collapses). Standing behind the stroller pull both locks (refer to section 10 Al. Push the handle forward allowing the stroller Check the wheels are correctly fitted by trying to pull them out. and bassinette to fold until the chassis moves into a fully folded position. Apply the frame lock catch. WARNING: Do not use the stroller canopy when bassinette is in use. WARNING: Always remove your child from the stroller/toddler seat prior to installation or removal. Remove the arm bar (if fitted) as described in section 9. To fit the canopy push the clips onto the handle frame (shown by arrows) on both sides of the stroller and attach the press fit studs onto the clips. The toddler seat has locating slots on the lower mounting brackets. Rotate these slots until they align with the opening in the moulding. Align the slots on the lower mounting brackets with the tongues on the inside of the stroller frame, then push the lower mounting brackets into the tongues. Open the canopy by pulling the front of the canopy forward and push the canopy hinges down on each side to lock it in open position. Rotate the upper mounting brackets outwards, then raise the toddler seat to an upright position. Push the circular hole in the upper mounting bracket fully over the stud on the stroller frame then pull the upper mounting bracket forward until it locks into position (2). Repeat this process for both upper mounting brackets. To open the canopy window (where fitted) pull the flap away from the canopy and roll it up. Hold it in place by attaching the fastener Check the toddler seat is securely in place by pulling on it. To remove the canopy remove clips from the frame on both sides. Refer to section 8 to secure child in the harness. CAUTION: Do not lift the stroller by the toddler seat. It may disengage. Push each rear wheel into the chassis until they lock into position. Store the bassinette handles inside the zipped pockets and fold the bassinette canopy back towards the rear of the bassinette. To release the front swivel wheel allowing greater mobility, rotate the knob clockwise until the rivet in the knob faces forward. To lock the swivel wheel, rotate the knob clockwise half a turn and move the fork until it locks into position. To use the foot (park) brake, push lever down to lock the wheels. Lift brake lever up to release the wheels. To fully recline the backrest release the press studs and open outer and then inner zips located on the sides of the infant seat. To raise the backrest close the inner or outer zips to the desired position, then attach the press studs. Rivet WARNING: When bassinette is in use, arm bar, stroller canopy and seat insert must be removed. Remove the arm bar as described on page 8. Remove the stroller canopy as described on page 5. To remove the seat insert release all press studs and hook and loop tabs from the stroller frame (refer to page 9 for exact locations), including the strap under the foot rest. Lift the seat insert out of the stroller. Place the bassinette onto the stroller frame by engaging the two front hooks on the underside of the bassinette with the stroller front support bar. Open the two rear Rear support bar locking clips located under the front end of the bassinette and push down bassinette onto the rear stroller support bar and lock the clips. Check the bassinette is Front support bar secure by lifting the handles - the bassinette should not disengage from the stroller. Rear locking clip Front hook Extend the bassinette frame rods outwards until they lock into position. Push down lightly on the top edges of the bassinette to check that it does not collapse. Fit the inner liner to the bassinette and attach the press studs to the canopy moulding. Place the mattress inside the bassinette. To fit the canopy push the tongues into the moulded slots on top of the bassinette, then fit the double sided press studs to the canopy moulding. Fit the cover and attach the press studs to the double sided press studs on the canopy. Remove the handles located inside the zipped pockets on either side of the bassinette. WARNING: Use this harness at all times. A five-point harness is provided to restrain your child. To secure the child in the harness, push buckle (A) and (B) into the buckle housing (C) until the buckle prongs snap into position. Carefully adjust the harness by pulling the slider (D) until the desired snug fit is achieved in the lap, shoulder and crotch straps. Always adjust the harness when changing the seating position of the child. To release the buckle, squeeze the top and bottom prongs. | Shoulder straps B Buckle prongs C|Buckle housing The arm bar has locating slots on both ends. Rotate these slots until they are clear of the plastic moulding. Align the slots in the arm bar with the tongues on the inside of the stroller frame and push the arm bar into the tongues. Press both buttons on the insides of the arm bar then rotate the arm bar upwards until it locks into position. Check the arm bar is securely in place by pulling on it. IMPORTANT: Arm bar must be fully raised. To remove arm bar press both buttons on the insides of the arm bar, then rotate bar down towards footrest and pull to remove. CAUTION: Do not lift the stroller by the arm bar. It may disengage. WARNING: Arm bar (if fitted) must be folded to the lowest installation position before folding the stroller. TO FOLD THE STROLLER WITHOUT BASSINETTE OR TODDLER SEAT fold the canopy back and arm bar down (where fitted), then stand behind the stroller and pull both locks. Push the handle forward allowing the stroller to fold until the chassis moves into a fully folded position. Apply the frame lock catch. WARNING: The seat insert must be assembled as below to ensure correct operation of the stroller. Attach the two press studs (A)located at the top of the insert to the press studs on the rear of the handle frame and attach hook and loop tabs (8) around the handle frame. Attach the press stud (C)on the strap to the press stud located on the inside of the rear of the leg ensuring the strap is looped around the outside leg before attaching the press stud. Attach the bottom press studs on the insert to the press studs on the rear of the bend in the bottom frame and attach hook and loop tabs below, around the bottom frame.
