• Do not cover the appliance or restrict the air inlet and outlet grilles to prevent overheating.

• Ensure that all objects are at least 1 meter from the front, back and sides of the appliance.

• Disconnect the mains power when the appliance is not used or for cleaning operations.

• Avoid using the fan heater in dusty environments or in the presence of inflammable vapours (e.g. in workshops or garages) or paint vapours.

• Do not use the appliance to dry clothing.

• Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area.

• Avoid placing fingers or foreign objects in the air inlet/outlet grilles, as this may lead to electric shock or fire and may damage the appliance. To avoid the risk of fire, do not block the grilles or tamper with them in any way while the ceramic fan heater operates.

• Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug are damaged. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, dealer or a similarly qualified person so as to avoid any safety risks.

• Do not operate the appliance if it has fallen from a height or has suffered damage in any way. Contact qualified technical personnel to examine the appliance or perform any electrical or mechanical repairs.

• The most common cause of overheating is the build-up of dust in the appliance. Remove dust deposits by unplugging the appliance and cleaning the air outlets and grilles with the aid of a vacuum cleaner.

• Do not touch the plug with wet hands; don’t put wet clothes on the appliance

• Do not place the fan heater above or near another heat source.

WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. Do not hang anything on the heater and do not cover it while it’s working. This is clearly written on the cover of the product or shown by the symbol

• The fan heater may cause the risk of fire if, while in operation, is covered by or comes into contact with inflammable material including curtains, drapery, blankets, etc. KEEP THE FAN HEATER AWAY FROM THESE MATERIALS.

• Do not use the appliance on soft surfaces such as beds, where the grilles may be covered. Always stand the fan heater on a flat, stable surface when in operation, in order to prevent it from overturning. Arrange the cord in such a way that the fan heater and other objects do not rest on it. Do not run the cord under carpets. Do not cover the cord with blankets, carpets or similar materials. Place the cord far away from busy areas, or in a place where it cannot be accidentally pulledout. During function the cord must be always completely pulled out.

HOW TO USE THE FAN HEATER

Put the fan heater vertically on a flat and stable surface.

Connect the power cord to a suitable electric socket (230V).

Starting from the “❄” position, turn the thermostat knob clockwise in maximum position.

Turn the switch knob, the pilot light switch on: select one of the possible positions: u = cool air (cool fan)

I = hot air (1000 W ) (low temperature)

II = very hot air (2000 W )(high temperature)

The thermostat maintains the desired room temperature switching on and off automatically the appliance. The more the knob is turned clockwise, the higher is the maintained temperature. Maximum thermostat setting corresponds at about

35°C; “❄” position corresponds to approximately 5°C.

In a room where the temperature is too high (more than 35°C), it is normal that the thermostat will not switch on the heater.

In a room where the temperature is too low (around 5°C or even less) it is also normal that the thermostat will keep the appliance working until the temperature gets higher.

Leave the appliance working until the comfortable temperature is reached; - turn the knob anti clockwise until you hear a

"click" and the appliance stops; - turn clockwise again the knob (just a little): in this position the thermostat will maintain the comfortable temperature you have selected.

OVERHEATING SAFETY DEVICE

In case of overheating the safety cut out protecting the heating element will automatically switch off the appliance.

In this case the appliance stops working and the pilot light will remain switched on even if the appliance is not working. If this happens:

• switch off the fan heater;

• remove the causes of abnormal operation or overheating (i.e. obstacles in front of air inlet or air outlet grille);

• leave the heater cool down for 15/20 minutes;

• switch on again the fan heater.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD AND LEAVE THE APPLIANCE COOL DOWN BEFORE

MOVING OR SERVICING.

DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.

CLEANING

Use a soft dry cloth to clean the outer surface

Do not use water, oils, chemicals that can damage the surface.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the air intake and outlet.

STORAGE

Make the heater cool down, dry and pack well, and then put the product in a dry and ventilated place for stocking.
