Instrument Operation

Press the button to activate the thermometer. The unit will turn off automatically after 1 hour to save battery life.

Insert the stainless steel probe to the desired depth. The measured temperature will be shown on the LCD display within 5 to 6 seconds.

To Select ˚F or ˚C

Press the °C/°F button to select the desired temperature unit.

Battery Installation

Replace the battery when low battery symbol ‘Bat’ flashes.

Replace with a 3 volt, type CR2032 button cell battery or equivalent.

Use a screwdriver of suitable size to open the battery cover on the back.

Carefully remove battery with small flathead screwdriver.

Install the new battery observing the correct polarity.

Close the battery cover.

Calibration

1. Remove the Phillips head screw on the front panel.

2. Place the probe in a 32°F (0°C) temperature calibrator and let the reading become stable.

3. Place a suitable size flathead screwdriver onto the screw hole and adjust the potentiometer to display 32°F (0°C).

4. Place the probe in a 212°F (100°C) temperature calibrator and let the reading become stable.

5. If needed, adjust the potentiometer to display 212°F (100°C).

6. Repeat step 2 to verify the 32°F (0°C) reading is within tolerance.

7. Replace the Phillips head screw.

Care and Cleaning

Clean the probe immediately after each measurement to avoid cross contamination.

Do not expose the entire thermometer to temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or over

122˚F (50˚C). Incorrect readings or damage to the thermometer may result. Tighten the calibration and battery compartment screws firmly to maintain the unit’s water resistance. Do not leave inside ovens. Not submersible.
