When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with that of the
local network before connection the appliance to the mains power supply.
This soup maker is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experiences or
knowledge, they should be given supervision and instruction in the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the soup
maker.
If the supply cord is damaged, a qualified engineer must replace it in order to
avoid a hazard, or send the unit to the authorized after-sales service center to
repair.
Take care to keep hands, loose clothing and other items away from the rotating
blades.
Do not use the soup maker if the rotating blades are damaged.
Do not use the soup maker without the lid being securely clipped in place.
Do not immerse the soup maker (Jug, cord, motor housing) in water or any other
liquids.
This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. All repairs should only be
carried out by a qualified engineer. Improper repairs may place the user at risk of
harm.
Do not operate the soup maker after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or
damaged in any way.
Do not leave the soup maker unattended whilst connected to the mains power
supply.
This appliance must be unplugged from the power supply after use and whilst
any maintenance such as cleaning is carried out.
Always use the soup maker on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
Ensure there is sufficient ventilation around the soup maker to allow the escape
of heat the steam.
The jug body becomes hot during use, always hold using the handle provided.
Do not use the soup maker for any purpose other than that for which it is
designed.
Ensure that the supply cord is kept away from heat or sharp edges that could
cause damage.
Do not allow the supply cord to hang over the edge of work surface or tabletops.
The soup maker is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for
commercial purposes.

Wipe out the spills around the jug including its filter properly after use.
Usage Instructions
The soup maker has two programmed soup settings to create chunky or smooth soups,
as well as a reheat function enabling precooked soup to be reheated ready to serve.
The built-in blender blades can be used to allow the soup maker to be used solely as a
blender to make smoothies, purees, dips and dressings.
The soup maker is fitted with several safety features including an interlocking lid cut-
out, a minimum liquid sensor, a hot liquid overflow sensor for safe use at all times and
safety micro-switch cut-off on the motor base.
Before using the soup maker for the first time wipe down the jug and lid with a damp
cloth using a mild detergent.
Do not immerse the unit or the jug in water or any other liquids.
Caution: the jug contains very sharp blades and should be handled with care at all
times.
Place the base unit of soup maker onto a stable, heat-resistant surface. Carefully
position the jug on the base unit, aligning the connections in the base of the jug handle
with those in the base unit. The jug should sit securely on top of the base unit.
Fit the lid to the soup maker by aligning the lock open symbol on the lid with the datum
mark on the top of the handle. Once aligned, turn the lid in the direction of the arrows
until the lid lock symbol aligns with the datum mark.
Ensure the measuring cup stopper is fitted to the top of the lid.
When everything is positioned correctly, connect the soup maker to the mains power
supply and press the START/STOP button to turn the soup maker on. The button will
illuminate indicating the soup maker is on.
If at this point the alarm sounds, disconnect the soup maker from the mains power
supply and check that the lid is properly fitted and the fluid level is correct as described
in the troubleshooting section.
Once checked, reconnect to the mains and power up.
To start the cooking process, select your function from the choices as shown below.

Note: cooking times above are for reference only.
The unit is very easy to operate. After pressing START/STOP, the indicators will flash,
then you can select the cooking function you wish to use. Once selected, the soup
maker will beep 1 time, indicating that the cooking process has started.
Making a smooth soup should take approximately 20 minutes, while chunky soups,
porridge or soymilk will take approximately 30 minutes. When the cooking or blending
is complete, the soup maker will beep for several seconds and the indicator lights will
flash.
During the cooking process, if the indicator lights flash and the unit beeps continuously
it is a signal that there is something wrong. If this occurs, please check the following:
e Lid is not securely locked
* No water inside the jug, setting off the dry sensor
« Jug is not positioned correctly into the main body
« Heating base/motor is overheating. Remove the jug from the motor housing and
allow them both 5 minutes to cool down before replacing the jug
« Water or liquid is above the MAXIMUM level, trigging the overflow sensor
о Water or liquid is below the MINIMUM level, triggering the liquid safety sensor
After pressing START/STOP, the unit will be in standby mode. Press and hold the PULSE
button down to blend. Release the button and the unit will stop blending.
Pour water into the jug to a point between the WATER MIN and STEAM MAX marks on
the jugs. Use the egg steamer to hold the food you are steaming. This operation should
take approximately 15 minutes.

Making Soup
Chop all of your ingredients into approximately 2-3cm cubes and add to the soup maker
jug.
CAUTION: it is not recommended to use uncooked meats in the soup maker. Any meat
or fish used must be precooked. Do not add any frozen ingredients. All ingredients
must be at room temperature.
Stainless steel filter (if being used): the filter will divide the inner jug into 2
sections. The section inside the filter makes smoothies, soymilk, porridge or
mixes food, while the section outside the filter makes chunky food. The filter is
best used to separate the food to be blended, which at the end will become a
chunky soup.
If used without the filter in place, all food will be cooked and blended, which will
result in a smooth/creamy soup.
To use the filter, lower it into the jug so that the bottom is held in place by the
ring at the bottom. Ensure the filter touches the bottom securely, and it will then
be locked into place by the jug cover.
Add your preferred liquid or stock into the jug. All liquids and stocks used must be at
room temperature rather than warm or hot when put into the jug.
Make sure the total volume of ingredients added at least reaches the minimum mark,
but does not exceed 1700ml, as the internal sensor near the base of the jug must be
covered in liquid. Under filling the soup maker jug will result in the sensor being
triggered and the unit failing to operate.
If during use the boiling action, the hot contents reach the lid, the upper sensor will be
triggered, switching off the heating function to prevent boiling over.
WARNING: foods high in starch or sugar will burn easily, especially at the bottom of the
jug.
The cooking function relies on uninterrupted operation. If the cooking sequence is
interrupted at any point, the program will be cancelled and the blending/cooking will
need to be repeated, which may affect the final results.
Any ingredients to be added during the cooking process can be added through the
food chute in the centre of the lid. Do not unlock or remove the lid as this will stop the
program.
To completely stop the cooking program at any time, simply press the START/STOP
button. Otherwise, once finished, the soup maker will sound an audible alarm and will
stop heating.
You soup can be poured straight from the jug. Take care when removing the lid from the
jug, as it will be very hot and will release steam.
Previously prepared soup that has gone cold can be reheated in the soup maker.
Simply set up the soup maker as previously described, then add the cooked soup to the
jug, ensuring that the volume is between the minimum and maximum markings still.
Connect the soup maker to the mains power and press the START/STOP button. Ensure
the lid is correctly locked, then press the REHEAT button.
The reheat program will follow this sequence: Heating — Mixing — Heating — Mixing —
Heating. This process will continue until the soup is heated and has reached the
optimum temperature of 65C - 75C, ready to serve. An audible alarm will then sound.
The time taken to complete the reheating process will depend on the temperature and
volume of the soup added, but should take approximately 5-8 minutes.
Note: the reheating process is not a cooking function. All soups used in this process
must already be precooked.
The soup maker can also be used as a blender. Simply set up the soup maker as before
and add your ingredients for blending. It is important that the ingredients reach a
minimum depth of 3-4cm so that the safety cutoff sensor doesn't activate. Do not fill
the blender above the maximum marking.
Do NOT blend dry ingredients as the sensor will not recognize them.
Connect the soup maker to the mains power and press the START/STOP button. Make
sure the lid is locked correctly, then press the blend button to start the BLEND program.
The blend cycle is a repeating 20-25 seconds of high speed blending, followed by a
slight rest. To stop the cycle, press the BLEND button again, or press the START/STOP
button.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Do not clean the soup maker in a dishwasher.
Always disconnect the soup maker from the mains power supply before cleaning.
Do not immerse the soup maker in any water or liquids. Clean the surface of the base
unit and outer surface of the jug with a soft, damp cloth. Rinse the lid in warm, soapy
water.
To clean the inside of the jug, rinse to remove any remaining soup or food particles.
Wipe away any food remains using a soft cloth and mild detergent before rinsing again.
CAUTION: the blades inside the jug are not removable and are very sharp. Extreme
caution must be taken when cleaning the inside of the jug.
Automatic Cleaning System
You can use the blender itself to aid in the removal of stubborn stains. Simple assemble
the soup maker as previously described, and add 800ml of water and a small amount of
mild detergent. Fit the lid and switch the soup maker on. Press the BLEND or PULSE
buttons and the blades will rotate to clean the jug. You can stop the cleaning process at
any time by switching the appliance off.
For extremely stubborn stains, you can repeat the above process but use the SOUP
making functions to clean the jug.
Troubleshooting

Broccoll and Potato Soup
Ingredients
225g cheddar cheese
4 garlic cloves
1 medium onion, cut into 2.5cm pieces
60ml extra virgin olive oil

1.8kg broccoli, stems peeled and florets separated

Layer the ingredients in the jug in the order listed.

Prepare all ingredients before beginning.
Add 700ml water and chopped potatoes in the jug, cover the lid and turn on the
soup maker, then press “Soup” .
Allow the boiling around 8 minutes, add the olive oil to heat and immediately
follow with the onion and garlic from the top cover middle-hole.(Do not open the
whole cover, otherwise the cooking will stop), the whole soup takes around 30
minutes.
Add seasoning to taste.
Finally add the double cream and hold the button “Pulse for several seconds until
mixed through.

Place the lemon juice, egg yolks, chilli, garlic and salt into the jug, power on the
soup maker, then select the “Blender” button.
While mixing, gradually add the oil, through the hole of the lid. Process until the
sauce emulsifies, it takes around 5 minutes.

Broccoli and Stilton Soup
Ingredients
« 25g butter
° 1tbsp olive oil
* Tonion, roughly chopped
° 1leek, green head removed, chopped
° 3509 broccoli, cut into small florets
° 1small potato, peeled and roughly chopped

* 4 tbsp double cream
« Salt and freshly milled black pepper
« 125g stilton, rind removed, crumbled
Method
1. Place the butter and olive oil in the Soup Maker. Add the broccoli, potato and
water in the jug, turn on the soup maker and select the “Soup smooth” button.
After 30 seconds, add the onion and leek and cook until soften, finally until
smoothie. It takes around 20 minutes.
2. Finally, add the double cream, season well and finally add the cheese, stir until
just melted(power on soup maker, and hold the button “Pulse” several seconds),
do not allow to boil.
3. Pour the soup between 4 bowls and serve.
Carrot and ginger soup
Ingredients
* 6 large carrots, peeled and chopped
° T1onion, peeled, cut to fit large feed tube
« 2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
° 1tbsp olive oil
« 800ml chicken stock
« 20g fresh coriander
Method
1. Put all ingredients in the soup maker jug, power on and press “ Soup” for hard
food, it takes around 30 minutes, from boiling, blending, cooking, blending to
simmering (several cycles)
2. Serve hot with crusty bread

Tropical slushy
Ingredients
e 440ml water
« 75g granulated sugar
* 330ml concentrated orange juice
e 550ml milk or coconut milk
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
Method
1. Combine water and sugar and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in
remaining ingredients.
2. Pour the mixture into jug, Turn the soup maker on, select the “Blender” function,
let mix until thickened and slushy, about 10 minutes, depending on thickness
preferred. Transfer to tall glasses and serve with straws and a maraschino cherry
garnish.
Real hot chocolate
Ingredients
« 800ml milk
* 4 tsp cocoa powder
« 200g milk chocolate, broken into small pieces
To Serve
° Mini marshmallows
e Whipped cream
Method
1. Place all the ingredients in the Soup Maker. Power on the soup maker, select the
“Reheat” function, let it mix and simmer about 5 minutes (the hot chocolate is
around 70 Celsius)
2. Serve in mugs with whipped cream and marshmallows on top.
Tip: Keeping the hot chocolate warm in the soup maker on the reheat setting makes it
perfect for a Bonfire night or children’s parties.

Tomato soup
Ingredients
* 2x 400g cans chopped tomatoes, drained.
* 1clove garlic, peeled and chopped
* 1small onion, peeled and chopped
* 1carrot, peeled and chopped
e 1 stalk celery, trimmed and chopped
о 500ml chicken or vegetable stock
* 1bay leaf
e Pinch dried basil
e Pinch thyme
Method
1. Place the tomatoes, garlic,carrot and celery in the soup maker jug
2. Add the stock, bay leaf, basil and thyme. Cover & cook on ‘soup” or until the
vegetables are tender. (Put thick vegetables outside the Stainless steel filter to
avoid mixing as your desired)
3. Serve immediately for a rustic soup, or blend until smooth.
