SAFETY DEVICE
Lid switch |
When the washer lid is lifted open during the spin-dry cycle,
the safety lid switch will work and the spin-dry basket will
be braked to a stop. On closing the lid, it will start running
again, thus resuming spin-dry operation.
Adjust this safety switch in such a way that it will cut off
power to the motor when the top lid is lifted open by 30
to 50 mm at the fore.

closed

open by more than 50mm

Adjustment
Adjust the lever shaft of the safety lid switch by turning it
with an ordinary screwdriver so that the safety lid switch
will cut off power when the height (a) of the top lid from
the washer body is between 30 and 50 mm.
— Turn the lever shaft clockwise, and the height (a) will
increase.
Turn the lever shaft counterclockwise, and the height (a)
will-decrease.

Safety lever
Excessive vibration due to the uneven loading of laundry
may cause the spin-dry basket to contact the safety lever,
which will then cause the safety switch to cut off power
and the motor of the spin-dry basket to stop running. This
safety lever will be reset on opening the top lid.

V-BELT ( i
The V-belt used to communicate power to the spin-dry ” oo
basket should not be stretched too taut. Check for its cor-
rect tension as instructed below.
Adjust the motor position in such a way that, when pushed
at a point halfway between the large and the small pulleys
~ with a force of 2 kg, the V-belt deflects by 8 — 10 mm. 8 10 mm 7

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO SERVICE PERSONNEL
1. The automatic washer should be packed properly for transportation.
2. Advise the user to install the automatic washer on a level floor.
3. For protection against electrocution, the frame, the motor, the capacitor, the safety switch, the magnetic valve, the time
switch and the control plate are grounded. They should be grounded after replacement,
4. Special types of screws are used to hold the rear cover. When detaching it, use the specially-designed screwdriver.
5. In case it is impossible to service the automatic washer in its standing position, drain water and then place it the front side
downward.
6. After servicing the automatic washer by placing it the front side downward, set it upright and see to it that there is no water
in the air-trp hose and that the level switch works at the respective levels.
* Water in the air-trp hose or in the level switch may result in operating errors of the level switch. / } *
