Printing with EPSON 4880 Sublimation ICC Profile from
Photoshop Elements 8 on MAC OS X
Photoshop’s color space needs to be set to the working space of which the appropriate sublimation
ICC Profile was created. This then allows for a more accurate screen display of your images. The
accuracy of the displayed image on your monitor will highly be dependent on the quality of your
monitor and more important a calibrated monitor ICC profile.
Start Photoshop Elements 8 and bring up the color settings window by clicking Edit  Color
Settings.
Ensure that ‘Always Optimize for Printing’ is selected and click ‘OK’
Photoshop Elements RGB working space is now set.
You can now work on your images as normal. Follow the subsequent steps for printing using the
appropriate sublimation ICC profile.

When your image is ready to print open the print preview dialogue, Click File Print
1 Select the ‘EPSON Stylus 4880’ printer from the drop down box indicated at point 1.
2 Click ‘More Options…’ indicated at point 2 to open the advanced options dialogue.

Select ‘Color Management’.
Select ‘Photoshop Elements Manages Colors’ from ‘Color Handling’.
Select the appropriate sublimation ICC profile from ‘Printer Profile’.
Select ‘Perceptual’ from ‘Rendering Intent’.
Note: If you don’t see any reference to appropriate sublimation ICC profile in the print space list
this means the ICC profile is not installed in your system or Photoshop has not been restarted
since the profile was installed, this will require you to restart Photoshop.
Click ‘OK’ to return to the ‘Print’ dialogue.
Once you have clicked ‘Print’ the ‘Print Options’ window will open.

Select the Printer from the drop down box.
Select ‘Printer Settings’ from the drop down box.
Select ‘Plain Paper’ from the ‘Media Type’ drop down box.
Select ‘Off (No Color Adjustment)’ from the ‘Color Settings’ drop down box.
Select ‘Fine – 720dpi’ from ‘Print Quality’ drop down box.
Check ‘High Speed’, ‘Flip Horizontal’ and ‘Finest Detail’.
Click ‘Print’.
Click ‘Print’ in the ‘Print Setup’ dialogue and the image will be sent to print with the configured
settings.
