Getting Started with the

NEW Met Opera on Demand

Roku® Channel

The Met’s online streaming service, Met Opera on Demand, is now available on the popular

Roku® platform of streaming players and TVs.

Customers who already have a Roku device can enjoy unlimited access to the Met Opera on

Demand catalog of more than 550 full-length performances—including more than 85 stunning HD videos from the award-winning Live in HD series of cinema transmissions—in just a few easy steps:

1. Subscribe to Met Opera on Demand on the Met website

2. Add (download) the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel to your Roku device

3. Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel

Step 1: Subscribe to Met Opera on Demand on the Met website

(If you already have a Met Opera on Demand subscription, proceed to Step 2.)

Visit http://www.metopera.org/season/on-demand/learn-more#subscribe in any web browser to load up the page illustrated below and select any available subscription option.

Note: if you previously purchased a Free 7-Day Trial for Met Opera on Demand you may not be eligible to purchase another one.

Step 2: Add the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel on your Roku device

On your Roku device, navigate to the Channel Store (“Streaming Channels” on main device menu) and look for Met Opera on Demand in either the “NEW” or “MUSIC & TV” sections.

Then select “Add channel” to install/download Met Opera on Demand on to your Roku.

Step 3: Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel

The following slides illustrate two options for logging into the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel, using the “Log In” selection below in the first screen that appears after adding the channel to your Roku device and opening it.

Step 3: Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel – Option 1

The first login option pairs an Activation Code on your Roku device with the entry of your username and password on the Met website, using another device such as your computer,

tablet, or smartphone.

Go to www.metopera.org/activate on the Met website, on another device, and log in with your username and password on the screen below…

Step 3: Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel – Option 1

…then enter the 7-digit Activation Code displayed on your Roku into the follow-up login screen below on the Met website.

Step 3: Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel – Option 1

Once you have logged in with your username and password, and entered a valid Roku activation code, the page will refresh as below indicating that your registration was successful. Within 30 seconds, your Roku screen will automatically refresh—completing the login process and loading the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel home screen. Please note: you only need to complete this initial login process once, as the Roku channel will securely store your login afterwards.

Step 3: Log in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel – Option 2

Users may also enter their Met Opera on Demand username and password directly on their

Roku device, via the screen below (select “Sign in with username and password” at the bottom of the screen with the Activation Code), by entering each individual letter or number using the keypad with the Roku remote control.

After successfully logging in to the Met Opera on Demand Roku channel, the screen below will load for access to everything available. Select a featured opera from this home screen, or search through the other screens (HD Videos, All Operas, Composers, Search, etc.)
