Pro-Series Water Box

APPLICATION(S): Sea-Doo RXT/GTX S3 (fixed & suspension deck) and RXP-X T3 iControl Models
We strongly recommend the use of a service manual to familiarize yourself with the various components and procedures involved with this installation. Please note that some of the original clamps, hoses and hardware removed in the disassembly process will be used in the installation process. These instructions have been written in point form and refer to illustrations. Please follow these step-by-step instructions and illustrations carefully.

- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -
RXT/GTX Suspension Models:
You are required to remove the moving deck to perform this installation. Please refer to the OEM
Service Manual for this process.
RXT-X 260 Fixed Deck Model:
Raise seat.
Remove engine coolant overflow tank (2 bolts).
Remove seat bridge (4 bolts).

2010 RXT-X MODELS:
Release latches (5) securing air intake silencer cover.

Lift cover and pull forward to gain access to blow-by hose. Remove hose. Set lid aside.

Remove air intake silencer baffle (pull up). Set aside.

Remove rubber straps (3) securing air intake tube.
Remove air intake tube. Set aside.
RXP-X 260 Model:
Remove side covers (2 bolts each side).
Remove bolts (2) securing air intake silencer to motor.
Remove bolts (2) and reusable clips (2) securing decorative cover to top of grab handle.
Squeeze outlet hose inside air intake silencer.
Remove air intake silencer by lifting up. Set aside.

Remove bolt (1 at rear) and reusable clips (4 at front) securing decorative cover to outside of grab handle.
All Models:
Remove exhaust hose between exhaust muffler (water box) and resonator. Retain clamps (2).

Remove coolant overflow reservoir. Remove grab handle (6 bolts).
RXT-X Models:
At rear of craft remove right deck hatch or storage tub.
Unclip diagnostic cable connector from battery holder.

Remove battery cables. Black first. Red second.

Separate electrical component support from battery holder by prying top of support forward.
Remove resonator and hose to thru-hull outlet. Discard baffle and hose. Retain clamps (2).

Remove battery holder (2 bolts).
All Models:
Disconnect hoses from supercharger outlet and throttle body inlet. Fold back and out of the way.
REAR EXHAUST OUTLET INSTALLATION
If a RIVA Rear Exhaust Kit was previously installed please remove and discard the exhaust tube and couplers as they are not compatible with this water box. You will use the new Aluminum Exhaust Tubes and couplers referred to in the next section of these instructions
If a RIVA Rear Exhaust Kit was not previously installed please refer to and follow the installation instructions supplied with our Billet Rear Exhaust
Outlet Kit (part# RS15090-ET). Once installed please continue with these instructions to complete the installation of your new aluminum water box.
WATER BOX INSTALLATION
At water box remove cooling lines (3) where it meets the muffler.

Loosen clamp securing water box exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold.
Loosen water box cradle (expand brackets) in hull.
Install RIVA Water Box into craft. Align cooling line fittings and secure. NOTE: Do not over tighten clamp.
Remove water box.
Loosen clamp and remove exhaust pipe (with coupler).
Remove water box temperature sensor.
Adjust water box cradle and secure water box strap.
TIP: Spray underside of water box strap with glass cleaner.
Reconnect water box temperature sensor.
Replace water box cooling lines (3). NOTE: Do not
over tighten clamps.
Install exhaust pipe into supplied water box. Align edge of blue stripe on exhaust pipe coupler with edge of RIVA
RACING badge on water box.
Install water box temperature sensor NOTE: Apply
pipe thread sealant to threads. Do not over tighten.

ALUMINUM EXHAUST TUBE INSTALLATION
Install 3-1/4” coupler onto water box outlet. Loosely place two stock clamps over coupler. TIP: Spray inside of coupler with glass cleaner.
RXT/GTX Models:
Install 4-1/2” coupler onto Billet Rear Exhaust Outlet.
Loosely place two stock clamps over coupler. TIP:
Spray inside of coupler with glass cleaner.
Verify fitment and alignment of Aluminum Exhaust Tube and Couplers. Secure clamps. NOTE: Do not over
tighten clamps.
Thoroughly clean supercharger outlet and throttle body inlet using a non-residual cleaner. Reconnect and secure hoses to supercharger outlet and throttle body inlet. NOTE: Do not over tighten clamps.
Secure clear siphon tubes (2) to a high point in rear of craft (E.G. – Intercooler Straps) using supplied zip tie.
RXP-X Model:
Install 4-1/2” coupler onto long end of Aluminum
Exhaust Tube (RS16091-ET-110). TIP: Spray inside of coupler with glass cleaner. Secure with one stock clamp. NOTE: Do not over tighten clamp. Loosely place one stock clamp over coupler.
Install Aluminum Exhaust Tube at Rear Exhaust Outlet first and then Water Box.
RXT/GTX Models:
Use Part # RS16091-ET-100
RXP-X Model:
Use Part # RS16091-ET-110

RXT-X Models: Replace battery holder and electrical component support. Reconnect battery cables. Red
first. Black second.
2010 RXT-X Model: Replace air intake system.
RXT-X 260 Model: Replace seat bridge and engine coolant overflow tank.
RXT-X iS & aS Models: Replace moving deck.
RXP-X 260 Model: Replace rear grab handle.
Check bilge for tools, rags, etc. Run craft on a flush kit to check for proper operation.

Limited Warranty
RIVA Pro-Series Water Boxes carry a 6-month limited warranty to the original purchaser. They are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Customer modified components will be void of warranty. This warranty is limited to defects in the primary components only. Finish and/or wear marks in or on primary components are not covered under this warranty.
RIVA Racing’s liability is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the components contained within or associated with this kit. RIVA Racing agrees to repair or at
RIVA’s option, replace any defective unit without charge, if product is returned to RIVA Racing freight prepaid within the warranty period. Any equipment returned which, in
RIVA’s opinion, has been subjected to misuse, abuse, overheating or accident shall not be covered by this warranty.
RIVA Racing shall have no liability for special, incidental or consequential damages or injury to persons or property from any cause arising from the sale, installation or use of this product.
No other warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, applies. Various states do not allow for the limitation of incidental or consequential damages and therefore the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
Warranty does not include the expenses related to freight or transportation of parts or compensation for any inconvenience or loss of use while being repaired. A copy of the original invoice and a Return Authorization Number (RA#) must accompany all warranty claims.
Warranted replacement parts will be returned freight collect.
