Video Conference Layout of the AMX Touch Panel STEP 1 Choose Video Conference from the main screen to access controls for a videoconference. STEP 2 To call another WIU video conference room, touch the Call Control button at the bottom of the screen. Touch the Speed Dial button for a list of pre‐programmed Quad City and Macomb campus video conference rooms. User Support Services  University Technology  Western Illinois University  2009 STEP 3 If the list of rooms appears blank touch the Refresh icon. If you do not see the name of the room you want to connect to touch the Page up or down arrows to see the additional rooms on the list. Touch the room you want to call to select it and then touch the Call button. When you want to end the videoconference touch the Hang Up button to disconnect. Touch the Exit button to power off and return to the main screen. STEP 4 Once you are connected you will need to select the appropriate camera view for your audience. To choose, touch Local Cameras from the upper right hand corner of the touch panel screen. The Instructor Camera controls the camera located at the back of the room. This camera is pointed towards the instructor. The Student Camera controls the camera located at the front of the room. This camera is pointed towards the students. To control the cameras in the room, select the Local button. 2. To control the cameras in the room you are connected to, select the Remote button. 3. The Swap button will change the image in the Picture in Picture (PiP) window between the local and remote camera view. This is the small image located at the bottom righthand side of the screen. 4. To turn Picture in Picture on and off, select the PiP On or PiP Off button. 5. To mute the sound from the microphone in the local room, select the Mic Mute button. 6. Use the left, right, up, or down arrows to tilt and pan the selected local or remote camera. 7. Use the Zoom arrows to zoom the selected local or remote camera view in or out. 8. Use the Presets buttons to choose predefined settings. 9. To shut everything down (room projector, audio system, etc.) select the Exit button. This will take you back to the main screen and the projector will begin to cool down and then power off. User Support Services  University Technology  Western Illinois University  2009
