TB-Series Hot Roll Laminator

TB-Series Hot Roll Laminator
TB-Series
Hot Roll Laminator
At the forefront of laminating and coating technology for more than a century
Discover why the TB-60 is the TOT
Highly Versatile - the
TB-60 can hot roll laminate heat activated adhesive-backed
decorative foils and papers – top and bottom simultaneously – with no grain raise and no
clean up. For increased flexibility, couple it with a hot melt glue spreader. Apply adhesive
directly to the board and laminate less expensive plain papers as well.
Highly Productive - capable of running up to 400 five-foot-wide boards per hour (singleor double-sided), the TB-60 maintains high productivity using only a two-person crew.
Highly Dependable - designed to withstand high temperatures and rigorous use, the TB-60
uses oversized sprockets, main roller bearings, and rotating unions.
Double No. 60 chain and braided stainless
reinforced flex hose help ensure long life
and durability. Easily accessible breakers
and panel switches streamline maintenance
tasks.
Numerical controls provide operator with
highly accurate method of maintaining oil
temperature and line speed.

Air shafts are offered as an option to
dramatically improve paper changeover
times to improve productivity.
Infeed Side
Optional outfeed resilient covered
combining rolls ensure conformance
to uneven boards.
TAL hot roll laminating machine
1 Jib-type crane rotates 360° to easily load paper rolls.
2 Pass line height is set at 45 1/4'' (1149.4 mm) to allow feeding and
stacking a full unit of board.
3 Papers and foils pre-coated with adhesive eliminate glue disposal
and clean up.

4 Operator set-up controls regulate hydraulic pressure and “unwind”
tension.
5
Electrical control panel enables operator to monitor and adjust line
speed, oil temperature, and brake pressure.
6
Main frame is constructed of 3/8'' (9.53 mm) thick steel columns with
heavy-walled tubular bracing for exceptional stability and service life.
7
Board guide included on most machines.

Outfeed Side
Chrome-plated laminating rollers are a full
11/2'' (38.1 mm) thick with 4'' (101.6 mm)
O.D. journals for maximum strength under full
hydraulic pressure. These 651/2'' (1664 mm)
face length rollers easily accommodate 60''
(1524 mm) rolls of paper/foil. Internal oil
heated to 425°F (218°C) and high roll pressures produce an exceptional bond and finish. Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders provide
ample pressure for difficult-to-run products.

Complete Laminating Systems Also Available
A typical TB-60 Hot Roll Laminator System incorporates
a pair of heavy-duty scissors lifts and an outfeed conveyor.
Scissors lifts simplify loading, trimming, and unloading. The
outfeed conveyor gives the operator room to separate finished
panels while moving them to the outfeed scissors lift. Vertical
stacking guides are also available as an option.
The addition of a panel cleaner and
an in-line hot melt glue spreader
enables the TB-60 to use either pre-coated
or plain paper. This can reduce costs by
using plain, uncoated paper. This system
setup also allows using a wider variety
of adhesives and laminates.

Special Note: All application equipment, materials, and substrates have special characteristics and may require variations in machine features, technical procedures, and
training. We encourage you to discuss your special needs and specifications with us.
Our testing and development laboratory will use your materials to make samples for
your evaluation. Before you make a purchase decision, a careful review of your technical objectives, specifications, and training requirements should be made.
