NOTE: When flying your storm V' with other infrared helicopters, make sure that each helicopter is set to operate ona
different infrared channel to avoid interference when flying.
SYNC BUTTON
The SYNC button has two functions. The main function is to sync your helicopter to your controller. In addition to this
the sync button can also be used to put the helicopter into Demonstration mode.
1.Syncing your helicopter:
Turn on your helicopter first, then turn on your controller, push the throttle all the way down and back again, the power
indicator light on your controller will become solid. The helicopter is now synced to your controller.
To add another player who will operate in the space you must leave the first “paired” helicopter and controller in the
“ON”position (turning off the helicopter or controller may cause the paired connection to be lost) and then follow the
these steps: 1) Turn on the new helicopter 2) Turn on the new controller and depress the SYNC button for 3 seconds, the
power indicator light will flash rapidly. Push the throttle all the way down and back up again. The power indicator light
will stop flashing and stay solid. The new controller is now synced to the new helicopter.
Note: only 2 helicopters can be flown in the same space simultaneously.
2.Demonstration Mode:
Your Storm V' wireless infrared remote-control helicopter has a unique demonstration mode that displays some of the
basic maneuvers and flight functions. To activate the demonstration mode simply hover your Storm V™ helicopter
slightly above eye-level in the center of a clear open room with no obstacles and depress and release the“SYNC” button
on your controller (See“CONTROLLER DIAGRAM” on page 3.)
Once the demo mode has been activated do not move or touch the Direction Control or Throttle Stick. To exit
demonstration mode simply move the Direction Control Stick. Note be sure that your helicopter is fully charged
before entering demonstration mode and be sure to have a large open without any obstacles that may get in the way
of the helicopters flight path.
FLYING YOUR HELICOPTER
While learning to fly your helicopter, itis best to start with a large room until you get used to the basic controls. As you
master flying the helicopter you can move to more advanced maneuvering through your home.
Moye the Throttle up 59 increase the speed
of the main rotor and the helicopter will rise.
Move the Direction Control left and the helicopter will
turn left.
Move the Direction Control up and the helicopter will
move forward.
FOR ADVANCED PLAYERS:
+
Move the Throttle down to decrease the speed of the ®
main rotor and the helicopter will descend. ]
Move the Direction Control right and the helicopter will
turn right.
Move the Direction Control down and the helicopter
will move backward. E
1.10 make a sweeping turn, first push the Direction Control straight forward letting the helicopter start to slightly
move forward. Keeping the stick forward, begin to slowly roll it to the right in the clockwise position to 1 o'clock
and hold it there. This will make a wide turn. The more you roll the stick, the smaller / tighter the turn.
2.Push the Direction Control in the northwest direction, the helicopter will go forward and circle to the left at the
same time. If you push the Direction Control in the northeast direction, the helicopter will go forward and circle to
the right. If you push the Direction Control in the southeast direction, the helicopter will go backward and circle to
the right. If push the Direction Control in the southwest direction, the helicopter will go backward and circle to the
left.
3.0nce you are getting familiar with flying, you can fly higher and faster, making quicker turns and practicing tricks.
FLIGHT PREPARATION
* Verify that there are 4"AAA” batteries inside the infrared remote control unit, and the helicopter has been fully charged.
- Set the channel selector to your helicopter. Turn the infrared remote control unit's power switch to the ON position.
* Move helicopters power switch to the ON position, place helicopter on a stable surface, wait for 10 seconds until the
Power Indicator light on the helicopter stops flashing before flying the helicopter.
* Place helicopter on open floor away from spectators and breakable items.
FLYING TIPS
- [tis recommended that you operate the helicopter in a wide indoor space. You should allow at least a 10-foot
radius range.
= The helicopter is designed for INDOOR USE ONLY. Never pilot the helicopter near buildings, power lines, people,
animals, vehicles, homes, trees or other large objects nearby.
* Make sure you are not wearing any foose or fong hanging clothing.
* Parental guidance or adult supervision is suggested at all times.
* If you are flying the helicopter with others, make sure all spectators are behind you.
* For best performance, it is recommended that you operate the helicopter in zero wind conditions. Close all open
doors or windows, and turn off any nearby fans. Wind can greatly affect the performance of the helicopter.
HELICOPTER FLIGHT ADJUSTMENTS
If your helicopter rotates uncontrollably, you may need to utilize the TRIM button. If your helicopter over rotates
CLOCKWISE (to the right), push and release the LEFT side of Trim button rapidly and repeatedly until the turning
stops and proper flight is maintained. If your helicopter over rotates COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (to the left), push and
release the RIGHT side of Trim button in the same manner until the problem is resolved.

STORM V PROPELLER SYSTEM
Your Storm V propeller system is a precision instrument that may need repair or replacement from time to time
for optimal flight function. Crash landing from high-speed aerial flights may cause damage to your Storm V
propeller or propeller connecting rods.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If your Storm V loses its ability to fly correctly, please inspect the propeller system carefully for the following two
common issues:
1. Replacing Connecting Rod: The connecting rod is a small “handcuff” style device that stabilizes the “upper”
propellers. There is one connecting rod on the upper propeller. Please see Diagram 1.
If a connecting rod is broken or missing simply replace it by “peeling” off the existing broken unit and replacing it
with a new one. You may have to use slight pressure when reattaching both ends of the new connecting rod.
Make sure that the new connecting rod is secured and locked in place. See Diagram 2. For changing connecting
rod, make sure there is no damage to the actual blade or arm that holds the connecting rod in place. If there is
you must replace the entire blade system.
2. Replacing Upper and Bottom Propeller: The propeller is subject to damage as you learn to properly fly and
control your Storm Y. If after a crash your helicopter has loss of control or flies erratically you should carefully
inspect your entire propeller system for any sign of damage. Most common are: cracked or chipped blade, broken
“connecting rod; frozen balance bar (this is when the balancing bar and blade are jammed and can not move
freely up and down). To replace the propeller blades follow diagrams 3 through 12.
