The Panasonic Cordless Phone
The Panasonic cordless phone allows you to quickly make and answer calls with a cordless handset. This
provides additional flexibility with the Kennesaw State University VoIP system. In addition, the phone’s base
unit gives you easy access to a number of features such as a speed dial, call log, and other options.
The Cordless Handset Layout
The following walks you through the cordless handset’s layout.

The Phone Base Unit Layout
The Panasonic phone base unit provides many of the same features as with the cordless handset. It’s
expanded layout also allows for easy access to many of the tools needed when making phone calls. The
following provides an overview of the Panasonic base unit.

The following explains how to utilize the cordless handset features on your Panasonic Cordless Phone System.
Using the Cordless Handset
Using the Handset





Lift the handset and dial the phone number
Press the Talk button
When you finish talking, press Off
Upon receiving a call, press Talk
When you finish talking, press Off
Using the speakerphone
Muting a call





Lift the handset and dial the phone number
Press Sp-Phone
When you finish talking, press Off
Press the left select button under Mute.
The mute option will flash. To unmute, press the
left select button
Redialing a Number
Adjusting Volume



Press
Press Talk
During the call, press the

to adjust
the volume up or down respectively
Adding someone to the Phone Book
Placing a Call on Hold




On the Handset, press
Press the right select button
Press the right select button to Add a new entry
Using the keypad, enter the contact’s name and
press the right select button
Enter the number and press right select

Navigate to the desired group using
or
and press the right select button
Press the right select button at the Save screen







During the call, press the right select button
under Menu
Press
to exit the Noise Reduction screen
Press
to exit the Equalizer screen
You will be taken to the Hold feature, press the
right select button to place the call on hold
The call is on hold. Press Talk to return to the call
Calling from the Phone Book
Viewing Missed Calls

On the Handset, press



Press
or
to navigate the phonebook
Navigate your preferred contact and Press Talk
Upon finishing your call, press Off
If you miss a call, the Display Screen will have
indicated a missed call. To view Missed Calls:
 Press
 You will be taken to the Caller List, press
view the most recent call

On the Handset, press

to access the caller list
 Navigate through the caller list using

 Press

to navigate the phonebook
 Press the right select button under Menu
 To remove an entry from the caller list, press the
left select button, located under Erase
 Press
to be taken to Erase

To call someone from the Caller list, navigate to
 At the Erase screen, press the right select button
his/her name and press Talk
 Press
to select Yes
 Press the right select button to erase the contact
Press Off to return to the main display screen

Phone Base Unit Features and Use
The following explains how to utilize the phone base features on your Panasonic Cordless Phone System.
Using the Phone Base Handset
Muting a call





Lift the handset and dial the phone number
When you finish talking, place the handset back
on the base unit
While on the call, press the Mute button
Mute will appear on the display screen.
To unmute, press the Mute button.
Using the speakerphone
Adjusting Volume




Press Sp-Phone
Dial the number that you wish to call
When you finish talking, press Sp-Phone
During the call, press the Navigate Up or Navigate
Down buttons to adjust the volume up or down
respectively
Redialing a Number
Viewing Missed Calls





Lift the handset from the phone base
Press Redial/Pause
When you finish talking, place the handset back
on the base unit

Press the CID button
Use the Navigate Up or Navigate Down buttons
to view the list of Missed Calls
To call back, navigate to the missed call and lift
the handset from the base unit
Adding someone to the Phone Book
Adding Contacts to Speed Dial










Press the Menu button
At the Phonebook screen, press the Select button
Press the Add button
Enter the Name of the contact you wish to add
using the keypad and press the OK button
Enter the Number of the contact you wish to add
and press the OK button
Select which group you wish to add the contact to
using Navigate Up or Navigate Down and press
the Select button
Press the Select button at the Save screen. Your
contact will be saved





Press the Speed Dial button
Press the Select button located under Edit
Enter the name of the contact you wish to add
using the keypad and press the OK button
Enter the Number of the contact you wish to add
and press the OK button
Press the Select button at the Save screen. Your
contact will be saved
To call from the Speed Dial, press the Speed Dial
button
Navigate to the contact you wish to call
Lift the handset. Your contact will be dialed
Calling from the Phone Book
Placing a Call on Hold







Press the Phonebook select button
Navigate the Phonebook using the Navigate Up or
Navigate Down buttons
Upon reaching the person you wish to call, lift the
Handset from the Phone Base
During the call, press the hold button
The call will be placed on hold.
To return to the call, SP-Phone
Your call will be taken off hold. If you wish to use
the handset, press SP-Phone
Deleting a Contact
Navigating the Caller List







Press the Phonebook select button
Navigate the Phonebook using the Navigate Up or
Navigate Down buttons
Upon reaching the person you wish to delete,
press the Select button located under Erase
Use the Navigate Up button to highlight Yes
Press the Select button


Press the CID button from the main screen
Navigate through the caller list Navigate Up or
Navigate Down buttons
If you wish to call someone from the caller list,
simply lift the handset
To remove an entry from the caller list, press the
select button, located under Erase
